        Re: Too much red meat?

I just read through this post quickly, but I felt the need to say..

There are studies that show red meat is bad. There are also studies showing that sugar is bad. Just because one is worse than the other doesn't change the fact that the first isn't bad for you.

What happened on this board is just like someone going to jail for a crime and having the jury in the courtroom say, "No, he can do that because people have done worse." It just doesn't make sense. Yes, too much red meat is (supposedly) bad for you. That has -nothing- to do with whether or not sugar is bad for you.

Anyway, congrats to everyone on your weight loss. I love looking at these before and after pictures.

again can you produce one medical peer reviewed study that shows eating red meat causes colon cancer? that is the point I'm trying to make not that sugar is worse only that there are NO medical studies that tested just read meat as a cause of colon cancer.
for yrs they thought smoking caused COPD they now know it isn't so. IF you have the genes and you smoke the smoking will cause you to have it at a much earlier age because they conducted studies of smokers and elimintaed other things that could be contributing to it like occupational exposure to other known to cause it stuff.

When they study folk who's only difference was red meat eating and not those who had aminal proteins including processed stuff more often then others then they will know if red meat is a cause of colon cancer.
