Oh wow! I just got back from their message board! Here's a typical post.
You won’t get much positive reinforcement to stay on Atkins here. A healthy 40-30-30 type diet is much preferred. That being said - you will want to slowly introduce carbs back into your system. People on Atkins for any length of time seem to gain weight back quickly when they come off.
The plateau you are on is also pretty common with Atkins users also. They hit a certain point and stay there for a long time. Some break through it - some don’t.
You will need more carbs in your diet anyways to keep up with the workouts.
How ignorant are they?!! People coming off of Atkins (which they shouldn't do anyway because it's a WOL) do not gain the weight back faster, imo. And every weight loss plan has plateaus.
Hey, all you exercisers! Did you hear that? Barb and Brook, better up those carbs so you can keep up with the work outs! ROTFLMAO
Piasa - Yeah, their weight loss plan has plateaus too. I've tried those type of programs and always lose the first 15lbs and then plateau forever there - no matter what. Not on Atkins!!!
