It's like, THE way to eat hard boiled eggs over here.
De-shell them, put them in a cup, add say a teasponn of butter and some salts and swish em up, serve on toast. Or, if on Atkins, just eat up em up with a teaspoon right outta the cup or come up with something more inventive.
    What's a deviled egg???

You cut a bunch of hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise, mash up all the yolks, add mayo and seasoning, and then spoon the filling back into the egg white "cups." AWESOME finger food.

I think it's the texture of the hard boiled egg--it's solid. Cookies are kind of airy and light, so maybe it's a psychological thing that you can eat more because they aren't so bulky? Sort of like potato chips---it's possible to eat a huge bag of those but maybe not 10 baked potatoes.

Hard boiled eggs are my favorite food and I could easily eat six at one time. Right now I have a glass jar with the juice from a can of beets, white vinegar, and a dozen peeled boiled eggs sitting in the refrigerator. My favorite snack is a few pickled eggs with salt and pepper and green olives.

I am trying to make myself like eggs period. Before atkins I would eat maybe two a month, now I am trying to eat them in the morning (every possible way) at least 3 days a week. I think I have worked myself up to the point I could probably eat two hardboiled eggs at one go. Not bad for a girl who is not all that keen on eggs by themselves!

I eat 2 of them every morning with butter and salt. The butter makes the yolks creamier and taste alot better. I love deviled eggs too... I think my limit of hard boiled is about 3 after that i am way too full.

now y'all are making me want to investigate this butter thing... I'm guessing the yolk should still be warm enough to MELT the butter.... hmmmmm... that could work... maybe....

yes - they have to be warm and then put the butter in and it will melt. Nothing worse than trying to put butter on cold eggs - I would then agree with you that it is yucky!

Presidentholmes, I'd like to hear exactly how to do that butter and salt thing, that sounds really good.

1 if it's in a salad with dressing on it
                        deviled???? a lot!

I love my hard boiled eggs for breakfast. I have one every day with one of those 'Babybel' cheeses. I'll eat two eggs if I don't have the cheese but I don't think I could eat any more. Mmmm...devilled eggs...they're so good. Not sure how many of those I could eat!

                                Hi
The eggs have to be hot of course, I do it as theyve just boild.
Add the knob of butter, as much as you like and salt to taste.
                                Serve on toast, muffin, etc...

I like the sound of the deviled eggs, cant say that I'm passionate about eggs, but they're...well, alright.
