There were several topics in the exercise forum about the myth of needing to eat high carb to grow muscles cause glucogenises will cause you to eat your muscles if you don't mentality many muscle heads think they "know". Even the guru of Ketogenises and bodybuilding Lyle McDonald says that glucogenesis fear is unwarrented in his papers written as a follow up to his book.
Rational Being Can you provide some scientific studies to back up your claims? I'd love to see them.
While professional body builders are using a ketogenic plan of their devise to cut fat and go to an unhealthy body fat to better show off their muscles of about 4% for a competition they could do Atkins and shed the fat too but they are in a hurry for a competiton and will not be eating that way for life as they tend to "make up eat" between competitons training.
Eat your Atkins and do your workouts and you can shed fat and add muscle tissue too. Your body will tell you as Dr Atkins informs you if you need to eat more ot not.
