I don't think cucumbers are very high i carbs. are they really? They contain mostly water... substract the fiber and it's not much.

woo hoo ofr you on your 1 pound.

your ribbed goard loki is a zuchinni like food they say so use it as such.

the yellow turnip is actually rutabagas use that info in your counting.

do you have a national nutrtitional database in Pakastan like we do here in the US if so you should be able to look up thoase foods their.
checking cucumbers in our data base one cucumber 8-14 inches long is about 3 cups sliced based on the weights and would have 9.43 net carbs so you are right it is alot from one veggie but one is the whole days worth of veggies for induction

Again can you get seeds and grow your own veggies in a container in side? or on a porch?

Haricot vert/french beans can be sauteed in oil or butter or steammed (potatoes aren't necessary!).

The ribbed gourd you talk about sounds similar to luffa squash. The luffa squash is completely edible when immature and tastes like a mild zucchinni.

If you can find pumpkin, especially the fresh pumpkin, it is delicious and can be used as a pretty good potato subsitute in most recipes.

i can grow veggies but i dont knowif they will stay..it is really very hot in summer..and i cant kep them in air onditioner having a toddler around
but u know what i have a good news
ysetraday i had a long talk with a guy who sells veggies in a posh area..
i asked him if he has celery/parsely/brocolli/leeks
he said he can get them for me
he says these veggies are availabe in some markets..but the shopkeepers dont purchase it beacuse not many ppl buy them..
so i asked him to bring me those things..and i will be getting them today
though he gave me..iceberg lettuce(heard of it?)..and parsely..and i dont knwo how to eat them..do i eat them raw or cooked?
i know i sound stupid to some..but i have never eaten those things in my life so plaese dont laugh even if u want to
and as far as the nutritional database is concerned,we really dont have it..i just check the carbs online..and i have a pdf file it has alomst eveythings carbs/fiber/protein/calories count.

                  my carbcounter says
1/2 cup chopped parsley is 2.1 carbs,1.3 fiber so 0.8 carb for half a cup..sounds ok.

Parsley is great! You can use it for anything. I like to add it to the ground beef when I'm making meatballs. But I also use it chopped on a salad of cucumber, tomato and onion.
You can make a great salad dressing from sour cream/yoghurt and parsley. Just add lemon juice, salt and pepper.

It is great in the mashed cauliflower as well, or if you make a mash from the turnips or pumpkin!

I'm glad you found some extra veggies to enjoy!

Parsley is listed in the "Salad" list. Actually it's a terrific salad vegetable. I make a "Greek Salad" that uses romaine lettuce, fresh parsley leaves, fresh mint leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions. I've made the salad without the fresh herbs and quite frankly it was boring.

But if it is to be used in a salad, the flat-leaved is the best!!!

Definitely! I only use flat-leaf parsley because it has more flavor than the curly leaf parsley.
