Re: who is your biggest supporter?

My DH is totally supportive. My daughter is always calling me to check how I'm doing, and when she's in town, like this weekend, she is always ranting and raving about how great I look. Also have a few friends, who endorse me totally, and are extremely supportive of my efforts, and they always acknowledge my successes. All in all I am one lucky person with all the support I get. And I cannot forget all my ADDB friends who have been with me all the way right from the beginning.

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

I have 2 friends dieting, one is doing Atkins, but she is on and off. The other friend is very very supportive of me, and I love her for it.

My boyfriend is very supportive too, but he hates that I'm not drinking alcohol...He want's to go partying with me....(I keep telling him, that I gan still be great fun...)
But that being said, my BF lives of sugar....pasta, sweets, sodas, rice, white bread...that's all he eats!

And I'm really glad that I have ADBB and another Danish Atkins board!

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

thank you all for the nice words, it would be much harder if I didnt have this forum and all the wonderful ppl I meet here.
I cant say I would have givin up becuae this is my decision and Ill stick to it. Iwill lose my weight even if it takes 10 years.
I dont know if this is my bfs problem or a problem from swedes. Here ppl are very selfish and individualists. Having a latin backgroud it is very hard for me to adapt or understand how ppl live and think here.
Yesterday evening we talked again about his lack of support. He says that it is selfish of me to want him to stopp eating whatever just bacause I cant.

I asked if he didnt ever thinkabout me, that the fact that I have a person eating a chocolate every evening while I watch television could be painfull for me. ( I dont mind if he has it once in a while...but all the time..I cant go anywhere in this house...)and his ultimate excuse was...."I think that you can be sad, but then I think ...if she loves she will be happy to see me eating a thing I like", if I was on a diet I wouldnt expect you to stopp eating whatever"
        oh well...what can I do?

          Eleonore,

I started having a problem with my weight when I had my 2nd child. I remember being on a diet and my husband brought me home white chocolate! Well, times have changed! He is now doing Atkins with me and he is my biggest supporter. So people do change. Even if your boyfriend is thin, he still shouldn't be eating junk food. But, what can you do? You can only take care of yourself and hope that he will see the changes in you and want to improve his own health.

Come to the boards, there is always someone here for you, we will tell you that you're beautiful anytime you need to hear it!

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

Im on my own as well. My mom is doing WW (shes lifetime and Im so proud of her, she looks fabulous). My friends/family do not ask how Im doing but are incredibly supportive if I offer info like- # of inches Im down or # of pounds Im down. I live about 8 hours from my closest friend and family member so they dont see the progress which can be a little tough at times but if I can see the progress, that makes all the difference.

My ex was not very supportive at all. He was always mentioning eating something that I loved and would not eat. (popcorn, pasta etc) and then would want to go to the olive garden despite the fact that I had cooked. (what the heck was I supposed to eat at OG on induction? the tablecloth?) needless to say.... hes an ex for a reason. I dont need the stress or BS.

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

My biggest (and only) support is all of my friends here. If it wasn't for ADBB I would have failed at this WOE 'cause that's what I do...I try and then I fail. But not anymore. Woo hoo!

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

My biggest supporters are my DH and ADBB! My DH, FINALLY on my advice, started Atkins and got me on board as well. It is so much easier to do this WOE for me when he is on it too. Now we keep each other motivated and monitor each other's eating (but in a nice way). And, I really love the support I get from people here on ADBB, too.

Re: who is your biggest supporter?

My DH and kids have been a great support for me. They ask me if I mind if they eat something in front of me and one day I really really REALLY wanted to cheat and they wouldn't let me... But being able to come to the ADBB board and having people who are going threw what you are and feeling what your feeling has been a blessing and I don't think I would still be doing this WOL if it wasnt for this board!! Thank you all!!!
