  • Tuesday Weigh Ins-join The Challange

    I dont know if this is being done, but as a newbie, I thought we could post our stats and weigh in every Tuesday to give ourselves that little extra modivation to get thru the week.I know that when I see others loosing, it inspires me to keep on going.I know theres alot who are on maintance,but those who are new or are still loosing,come join me in logging in your weight loss.

        Ok, I will join!!! I weighed myself on Monday and I was 165, down 2 pounds from the week before. I will just wait one more day next week, then log and let you guys know how I did! Thanks for the challenge, it will help us stay motivated!!
        What would we do without it?

          i would join but my weigh in is on Wed mornings! I did one week of induction and lost 8 lbs, i will be weighing again next Wed morning and i will be happy to post it here, if you guys dont mind me always being one day later!

            This Tuesday 151 last Tuesday 152.5 so 1.5 down for this Tuesady to Tuesday week

            Not going real fast right now....I always have a bit of time breaking this 150 barrier but I am still hanging in there

              1lb in one week! from 156lb to 155lb (aaahhh well 1lb lost is better than 1lb gained - I guess)

                Oh but the joy!! I don't know about you lot but are you measuring yourself as well as weighing? I measured myself at the end of my first week and I've just measured myself again. I have only lost 1lb in weight but I have lost 2" off my waist, 1 1/2" off my hips and 1" off my thighs!!

                The word 'thrilled' just isn't enough!!

                  Hey Carrie,
                  No I didnt measure myself.......being as heavy as I am, I rely on the pounds.
                  So today was week 2 for you and you lost 1lb?You sound like me, except, I am up .5lb so far this week and I only have 2 more days to loose something.
                  I listed my menu from yesterday and was told to up my veggies.......so tonight I did 2cups salad and some sauteed green beans.Hopefully this will help.REally trying to add more water.I just love diet pepsi, so its been a struggle not to gulp 5 of them a day, especially when the protein makes me soooo thirsty.However.I have only had 1 diet caffiene free pop(we dont have diet rite here,so its the best I can do).This is what I ate today

                  Breakfast
                  6 slices of bacon

                  lunch
                  2 carb free beef patties
                  2 slices cheddar(1oz total)

                  dinner
                  1.5 pork sausage
                  2 cups salad
                  2tbsp caesar dressing
                  1/2 cup of green beans
                  4 pats of butter (2 to cook, 2 added)

                  water:4 bottles
                  diet pepsi:1

                  So tell me what you think I have done wrong today,cos I better have lost something by tomarrow.

                  How did you eat today?Maybe share me some of your meals to compare?Thanks

                    well i haven't eaten much today - I've felt a bit down and I tend not to eat when I'm in this mood.

                    Breakfast:
                    None ( Lots of water)

                    Lunch:
                    Omlette (made with 2 eggs) 1 cup of salad
                    Water

                    Dinner:
                    None (Lots of water)

                    I know, it's terrible. I've just felt bad today. I actually don't feel very well so it may be that - not much of an appetite.

                    My usual day tends to consist of:

                    Breakfast:
                    2 slices of bacon and 1 egg
                    Water

                    Lunch:
                    1 large chop or 2 small chops (usually pork)
                    2 cups of broccoli
                    Water

                    Dinner:
                    Omlette (made with 2 eggs and 1oz cheese)
                    Maybe a slice of bacon
                    Water

                      I actually went to fitday and entered what I had eaten today.It was horrible.I was upto 128grams of fat.OMG.....no wonder I'm not loosing weight......how could I be at that rate.I'm gonna try to stick with lean means, and get my fats from butter and cheese,otherwise I dont think it will work for me.Did you weigh yourself at all thru the week?Isnt tomarrow your weigh in day?

                        Yes I'll be weighing myself tomorrow but I had only lost 1lb this week so far - I hope I've lost more.

                        I stick with chops because they're pure protein (and I eat the fat), I cook them in butter to add more fat. Depending on how much veg or salad I have, I might have cheese also to make up some more fat later in the day.

                        It's harder than I thought to work out what I can and can't eat. So because I don't know if I can have something I'll just go without (which will only make me miserable because I'll start to get hungry) when maybe I was allowed to eat it.

                        I'm going shopping tomorrow. I'll be buying more lamb and pork chops, gammon steaks and bacon. The vegetables I eat most is broccoli, and cauliflower. I have the odd glass of caffeine-free diet coke, I drink LOADS of water but I always have. I have a bit of cream cheese with lettuce and cucumber for snacks (especially if I need to make up some veg/salad). What do you have for snacks?

                          Hey, actually I dont really snack.I only eat 3 meals so you can imagine my suprise when I woke up this morning and am now 212lbs.I have reread my menus and reread all the support posts and none of it makes sense.I am following induction to the word.I'm limiting my cheese to 2oz, added extra water, cut down on only 2 diet colas a day and I am still gaining.Its not my TOTM, funny enough it was last week when i lost all my weight.I followed suggestions of limiting my fat in protein, so this morning I had 2 lean slices of ham rollled up with cream cheese.For lunch I had a salad with ranch dressing with cheese, bacon, chicken and ham.Now its my moms b-day party, so I snacked on cauliflower and red peppers in ranch dressing, along with 5 olives and about 1oz of cheese.Thats all I have had today.Dinner will be a steak, with green beans and onions.Already had my 2cups salad, so now just finished off the cup of allowed veggies.Drank so far 3 bottles of water and 2 diet colas.Will drink a few more bottles and that will be it for the day, yet you watch......I will have gained.Its very upsetting, cos I worked so hard the first week and we all read that induction(2weeks) is when we loose the most amount.........so to gain is rather annoying at the least.I was hoping to find other people who experienced the same, to give me hope that it will work out, but so far no one has said this has happened to them.
                          Anyway, let me know how your weigh in went today.I'll keep you posted.Thanks

                            A lot of people have posted that the second week of induction slows considerably compared to the first so don't lose heart.

                            I weighed myself today and I've lost 1 more lb so 7lb in total over 2 weeks - slightly disappointing but its 7lb less than I weighed 2 weeks ago so I'm happy with that.

                            Keep me posted on your progress and I'll do the same
