Re: Motivate me with your stories about how you

Okay, no extra points cause I am just now pushing 30 but....I am averaging a little over 2 pounds a week. This is my post pregnancy restart so I am not new to Atkins or . The first time, I dropped my weight really quickly but did not really learn that much about myself. Also, my skin seemed saggier due to the quick loss. This time, I don't struggle with thoughts of cheating or going off plan. I don't feel like I am sacrificing anything either. Every week, I am just so proud that I am in the right frame of mind for this to succeed as a permanent change in my life - the weight loss for the week is all gravy on top of that. Sounds hokey but I swear it is true!

Anyway, here I am - 8 weeks into the new me - and there is just over 20 pounds less of me. I am so pleased with how it has all added up. You and I have a similiar goal range. I am sure you will be just as pleased as I am soon!

    You are doing very well!

Wow, this is exciting to be OLD ENOUGH to post!!

I started at age 46, surgically menopausal, on estrogen ..

Wanted to lose 15 pounds total .. after 2 weeks induction, I lost 7 pounds, and by 11 months into it, I had lost 30. Since Dec 2002, I've lost another 10, which means I've lost 25 pounds more than my initial goal.

Oh, and I've gone from couch potato to a marathon finisher at age 50!!

        YOU CAN DO THIS!

Re: Motivate me with your stories about how you

I am 36 (37 in June) and started Atkins January 2, 2006. It finally sunk in that "Hey, I'm not in my 20's anymore". And I took a look in the mirror and boy was I fat!!! I had done Atkins a few years back and did really well, but the pounds snuck back because I didn't do maintenance. Now, finding this site I know Atkins isn't a quick fix - it's a lifestyle!! I guess I finally matured . My husband has been doing it with me and is amazed aout the different recipes I have made. We got bored the last time because all we ate was eggs, tuna, cheese and meat - plain nothing exciting. Now it's like WOW!
Today I got on the scale after yoyoing with 5lbs. for two weeks and finally hit 20lb. lost!!! Yipee This site is the GREATEST!!

A year and a half for me and I'm closing in on a hundred pounds lost. I've gone from a couch potato to an exercise junkie and really have never felt better. You can do it too. You have to stick to the rules, exercise, drink your water and take your supplements. Simple as that!

I'm 35 and have been on Atkins since April 18, 2006. I have lost 65 pounds so far. I slowed down over the winter because me activity level is lower. I hope to lose the last 35 pounds this spring. I have gone from a very tight size 22 jeans and 20 top to a nice fitting 14 jeans and 12 tops. Yeah!!! You can do it, if I can do it. I have been overweight for 14 years and thought I would always be that weight. It's great to now know the secret!

                  OK so after reading about:

                  Cypressgirl's 2 lbs a week
                  Cleochatra's 100 lbs in 7 months
                  ttdiver's 55 total lost ***** BONUS
                  lyamamaschke's 10 lb loss
                  Mwalsh95 20 lbs in 2 months ***** BONUS
                  Isabeau's 100 lbs loss
                  Momtofour's 65 lbs loss
I am getting my initial motivation back.
Thanks guys I needed to get a fix of these success stories. (All in one place)
I realize I need to be patient. Its just not one of my better qualities. I am determined and I have stuck with it. It will be a month next Tuesday. I have adjusted my short term goals. It seems at my age it will be slow and steady.
