Congratulations on the weight loss and the exercise you have been doing. Thats wonderful. I totally recommend you stay away from all scales. Trust your tape measure.
Please go to the induction forum and read all the stickys. There is information there to help you find long term success. Keep going, you are doing great!

I also have another question, this time, about iron...

I was reading somewhere about iron and iron poisoning. The reason I was curious was because I wasn't able to find vitamins without iron. So, I was wondering how much meat I would have to cut out until I either ran out of these vits, or got some new ones.

According to what I read, iron accumulates. Is that true? Because I was reading some stuff on iron poisoning, and that doesn't sound like very much fun. I mean, I would like to lose more weight, but not at the expense of my liver... Though, that would make me a few pounds lighter.

      I need my liver though, don't I?

How much iron does one need to cause poisoning, and what is a safe amount, because my vits have 18 mg of iron. Is that too much? Or am I just being over-precautious?

Oh yeah, and I've noticed a severe dry lip problem. I drink plenty of water, but for some reason, my lips are getting dry, and when I open my mouth to eat sometimes, the skin breaks, and it's kind of annoying.

Am I not getting enough of something? Or is this a common thing? Chapstick?

I'd just use a chapstick type of thing. Mine get like this in winter when the humidity is down.

Re: Okay, things are definitely interesting...

I was just wondering about the lip thing. I think it happened the last time I was on Atkins, but I can't be too sure, it was a while ago.

And I never get chapped lips. I'm thinking it's the lack of sodas I'm drinking, and the fact that my body is flushing so much water, that it's making my lips dry. Or, maybe the ketone breath is playing havoc with my lips.

                I don't know. Maybe I have herpes?

That last one was a joke, just so you guys know...

For all I know, it could be the warehouse I work in. There is an awful lot of dust, and that could be a major factor in the dry lip thing.

lol, I don't think you have herpes--though you never know...

But seriously, drinking more water is a great idea. Never guzzle way past your comfort level (of course) because you wouldn't want to screw up your sodium/water balance to a dangerous point, but drink water copiously at a moderate clip throughout the day and see if that helps. It really is difficult to drink too much water. Drink up! Your body might be trying to tell you that it's thirsty!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Well, the lip thing is going away. I'm glad that part is over with. I guess it was just really dry.

Anyways, I am mostly posting, just so I could say that I am down to 221 now. Chances are, I may never make it to my goal weight of 150, but I want to get as close as I possibly can.

One of these days, I'll see about posting a couple of pictures, but I actually kinda want to wait on the posting, until I become "el uber prettyboy".

I only fear having to do girly things, like manicures, and pedicures, and haircuts every other week, and the constant shaving. My face hurts just thinking about it.

                      AACK!! I gained. I'm at 225. Again.

I think I know what did it. It was the nacho cheese. It's cheddar, so I guess it would be alright, and I threw some of it in with some ground hamburger meat. That was the only thing I did differently. Anyone know how many carbs are in that stuff?

It wasn't that good anyways... I think I'll stick to string cheese.

Re: Okay, things are definitely interesting...

Alright, to keep everyone updated, I am down to 220. From 250. For a loss of 30 pounds. So far, everyone is telling me that they are noticing a big difference in my appearance, and my clothes are fitting a lot better on me. Except for my pants. If it wasn't for my butt, my pants would be falling off. I believe it is time for me to buy some new pants.

I do have a quick question. I know that the weight loss aspect is supposed to slow down, since my body does not require as many calories as it did when I was at my max weight, but, if I were to readjust my caloric intake to where I wasn't taking in nearly as many calories, but still adhering to the rules of induction (I'm staying on induction, at least until May, possibly June) would I be able to keep a decent amount coming off? I don't want to hit 150 by May, of course, but I would like to lose a fair amount before the summer. And then, when I get to that point, I'll switch over to OWL to find out what my limit is, and during that time, reach my goal weight.

If my roommate would stop taking the digicam, I'd be able to up some pics. But until then, I'm just going to have to wait. I have before pics, but not just yet. I don't have any full body before pics. At least, I don't think I do...

Re: Okay, things are definitely interesting...

Okay, everybody. I have recently checked the scales, and according to what I see, I'm am down to 216. Altogether, a loss of 34 pounds. I can't be exactly sure, though, because someone moved my scale. It might be a little bit off, but hey, it's okay, because either way, there was movement, right? And also, the pants I bought because my other pants were falling off? Well, those are getting loose also.

Now, all I have to do, is concentrate on working my mid section. I mean, I could just wait it out, but I want to get some activity going, so my mid section is looking good also. I want to be able to go outside in just pajama bottoms already. I think that would be hella nice to be able to do that, or maybe go to the water park, now that it's hitting spring time (I'm in Texas, by the way) or something along those lines.

****, I'd settle for a sprinkler in the lawn, so long as I got to show myself off...

Anyone got any good ab exercises, other than crunches? Or a way to center love handles?
