    Re: Carb Questions

Good for you for asking questions, Diva

See if you can get hold of a copy of the 2002 'Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution', as it is much more useful to someone starting out on the Atkins Way of Eating than the 'Atkins Essentials' book.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

      Re: Carb Questions

Thanks everyone.I didnt realize that the info was incorrect in the book I had. However, I still have done a clean induction as I didnt eat any "tomatoes", and no grains or any bought atkins products.Just meat, fat, cheese and veggies.
I will try to pick up that book tomarrow if I can find it.Atkins product actually are gone from all our grocery stores, theres no carbwise products or frozen meals, that were plentiful last year.
I did eliminate the 2-3 cans of pop I normally drink and just did water.Kinda bland but will see if it gets the scale moving in the right direction.
Dont forget to weigh in tomarrow guys...........Us newbies need all the inspiration we can get.

Actually it is probably a good thing, Diva
Without those 'lowcarb' products you can concentrate on using fresh foods instead of processed foods where there will be no added sugar alcohols to confuse your body.
I am really grateful that when I started induction many months ago I couldnt find them over here and then when I did they were so expensive I didnt bother to buy them!!
