    Re: Mayonnaise...

Oh and the only reason I don't eat mayonnaise, cream cheese, cream or sour cream is because I don't like it. I noticed a lot of the recipes involve cream cheese so I'm pretty restricted. And then I wonder why my daughter is so picky....

      Re: Mayonnaise...

You mean I would have to choose between steak (the kind with the fat that is visible!), eggs and mayo? Sorry, I won't be able to do that so I can't answer!

          Re: Mayonnaise...

I'm with you wanna! Well, I can handle a little bit of mayonnaise. I'm working my way into it. But cream cheese and sour cream are super duper gross. Wanna, do you like the cream cheese with vegetables in it? (haven't bought it in ages, don't know whether it would ven be carb safe) The veggie kind is better than just it straight.

Edited to address the actual topic:

Hmmm...WATER. I am a wateraholic. If I go for even an hour without a drink I get super duper thirsty. Also probably olives. Green, of course!

UK peeps, I have to confess, and this is REALLY naughty of me, I've been eating Hellmans Mayonaise since 5th Decomber when I started Atkins! And I've just realised now that it has sugar!!!

What brands to you other UK people use!!??

I have still managed to drop 2 stone though (oh and am back on plan now further to my last post!!!)

                Re: Mayonnaise...

Emz, as long as its Hellmans Full Fat Mayo, then that is ok. Its got sugar in it, but it is very minimal. Hellmans is the one I have always eaten as because its the lowest carb count of all mayo's that are available to us.

Ellizien has spotted another brand in Aldi, but I am not sure what it is. But to answer your question, Hellmans is perfect.

No, I haven't tried the cream cheese with veggies in it...it sounds worse.

                    Re: Mayonnaise...

                    Thanks Rich,

Yeh, it is the hellmans full fat.

I have another question, how do you get through your two litres of water at the weekends? I'm usually so busy and running around after my step daughter that I forget to drink! Work is no probs as it's next to me.

I'm pleased I'm back on plan had a terrible two weeks with tonsillitis, could only swallow yoghurt or sugar free jelly (which by the way are perfect for breaky for me...jelly not yoghurt!!)

Nearly at my August Goal, so can't be doing too badly!

                    Thanks for your wonderous advice.....again!

                        Re: Mayonnaise...

I have mayo in lots of things...salads of cours (tuna, chicken, etc) but like I said I even use it as a condiment to cut carbs. Like with my steak..I mix it with a little mustard just to give it a kick and you don't have to use a steak sauce if you like em wich are higher in carbs!

I like my steak plain. I used to always drown it in barbeque sauce (before Atkins) and you never really got to taste the steak at all.
