  • induction and diet pills OH NO, NO NO?

Hello everyone, Newbies, Lord help us.
I'm sure I already know whats going to be said but as they say "the only dumb question is the one not asked." So here goes.

See I am carb junkie and an over-eater of the worst kind. So I started this diet and I'm trying my best to follow the induction rules to a "T" and here is where the BUT comes in.

I get up, get the kiddies off to school, start drinking my water, take my HYDROXYCUT, then wait 30 minutes to eat my breakfast (eggs).

BUT this morning after taking them I just happened to turn that bottle around and found that ALOT of it is tea extracts and it does have caffeine. NOT GOOD I KNOW (the only caffeine I ever have in a day)

But what scares me is that I tried to eat the other day without taking it and over ate, then two hours later I was hungry again and ate again.

I don't want to fail at this diet, any info would be helpful.

    Thank You
    Priscilla

First of all I would check out all of the ingredients. Is caffeine the only stimulant? Caffeine is a no no, but I can't imagine that it makes you more hungry without it. Are you drinking water with your breakfast? If you are hungry eat. There have been days like yesterday where I eat acceptable foods all day and think there is no way I'm losing today. Those are the days when I lose the most! Listen to your body. If it's hungry feed it, if it's not, don't.

When you say you ate too much, what did you eat? Was it on the acceptable food list? When you are starting out you will be hungry until you are deep into ketosis. Then you will find that you have to force yourself to eat sometimes. At least that's how it worked for me.

I am not a pro but this is my thought. the idea with induction is to cleanse your system of all the bad things and teach yourself the good. So with induction the whole idea is to eat when you are hungry the acceptable foods- within the daily allowance of carbs- which leaves meats for snacking.
so if you are taking the hydroxycut (i dont know it) you are not teaching yourself good habits- you are relying on something to control your hunger but it is yourself that needs to get control over your eating.
have a look at the book- there are supplements that you can take that are allowed during induction to aide in the process, but in my perspective i say skip the hydroxycut and go natural so that your body knows when it is hungry.

The only way (I feel) to do this and be healthy is to kick all of you bad habits, and that includes diet pills. This way of eating, if you give it a real chance, will curb your appetite. You can't stay on diet pills for the rest of your life, but you CAN stay on Atkins for the rest of your life and be healthy. You will never learn good eating habits, and break your bad eating habits if you rely on diet pills. Give this two weeks, do a CLEAN Induction, and see how you feel. You will be surprised at how GREAT you feel, and that you don't need that stuff. It really isn't good for you, and you can do it!!! You are worth being thin and healthy, I beleive that and so should you. Two weeks, that is all and then you can see how you feel. 14 days, that isn't that much, is it? You can do it, and you will be so happy that you did. I did a CLEAN Induction, and I lost 14 pounds. I have been doing this for 5 weeks and I have lost 19 pounds, and I don't take anything but my vitamins. If I can do it, you can do it!! I was a carb addicted mess before I found ADBB. You are worth it, and you can do it!!!

Try green tea extract and drink green tea too. I find that green tea is a natural appetite suppressant.

Another natural appetite suppressat is fennel and fennel seeds (tastes like aniseed). It is in the allowed salad vegetables of induction. There are 2 types, bulb fennel which you can cut up and use in roasts, bakes and stir frys, and herb fennel. Both have celery like stalks and feathery fronds. The stalks and fronds are great for salads and if I am peckish I will often go into the garden and pluck some feathery bits to eat - tastes great!
Seeds can be harvested (end of summer) from the yellow flower umbrels, or bought in the packet at health food shops. Don't let them tell you dill seeds are the same - they are similar but do not suppress appetite. When I have no fennel growing I use some seeds in my stir fries.

It's OK to eat when you are hungry.....but stop when you are satisfied NOT full. I eat every two hours or so. Not big meals....maybe a hard boiled egg....some tuna....something. That keeps the furnace going....and I don't get hungry. This WOL is about eating...not starving. Goo d luck
