Thought this might be a useful thread for relative newbies (like moi), if some of the more experienced Atkins folk could give the 'top' or most common (or even uncommon!) stallers that they know of.. Thanks

    Shall I????

The SHAKES AND BARS! We have found those to be the biggest culprits on causing stalls here.

      Re: Top Stallers

opps, you asked for "uncommon". I have never found anyone that was stalled by this except me. Splenda! After a year I stalled for MONTHS! After much trial and error my son mistakenly brought home a odd ball sugar substiture. I was out of Splenda and started using it. Yep........ after a week I was down 8 pounds!

                "fudging"

meaning = lack of portion control - well, it "looks" like a cup, a tsp, or whatever the measurement is. A little bit of this and that can add up unexpectedly.

A few extra nuts here (once you hit OWL, that is), an extra dollop of mayo there (without counting any of these "extras" in your daily quota), and you're wondering why things are not working they way they did when you first started, and were faithfully weighing, measuring, etc.

Yes, I know you can get obsessive on the measuring, but, until you really can figure out what "exactly" a cup, an ounce, or whatever looks like - please measure and don't blame the meal plan if you're not being faithful.

                  Re: Top Stallers

My stalls have been caused by:

                  Lack of exercise
                  too much cheese
                  too many nuts
                  too much cream
                  cheating
                  too much Diet Coke

I work on them all every day. Some days I have it all together and other days I slip up, but the important thing is to keep working on it. Don't give up because of a bad day, week, month etc. Decide to make Atkins your lifelong project.
