Yes, we are all different! I also try to eat only food prepared from fresh. The exceptions of course are processed things like bacon and smoked salmon, which I love (in moderation) and a I eat tinned fish like salmon. Otherwise, it is fresh. The only bread I have currently is my occassional (once a fortnight, maybe) bake at home wholemeal roll, 13 carbs. It's just my little indulgence.
Portion size is very important, and is the area I a now addressing, eating less and waiting a bit to see of I am still hungry or not. I had got into the bad habit of having large portions of steak or chicken or whatever, and I am sure it was slowing me down.
The Atkins eating plan works, and all the knockers in the world cannot change that fact.
