    Re: raw foods

I agree with you! I too do not waste my carbs on anything but fresh fruit and veggies. Grains well I can live without. If I do eat grains it's sprouted bread or quinoa only. I don't like the idea of dreamfields either.
Last night I made a fabulous dinner
    chopped :
    cucumber
    tomato
    avocado
    red pepper
tossed with shiritake noodles and added olive oil/garlic/balsamic blended dressing
Fabulous and that's what I had for dinner. For dessert a 1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds.
Thanks again for all your info.

I'm not sure how the term "double dead" is used in your neck of the woods, but in the Philippines, the term refers to cattle, pigs, etc. that died before getting to the butcher but were cut up and sold anyway. It's illegal to sell double-dead meats in the Philippines.

There's a really good "cookbook" by Sally Fallon called Nourishing Traditions. She soaks all her grains and nuts before cooking them because she believes the soaking reduces the phytates in them. The phytates allegedly bind with minerals in foods so you don't absorb them.
