Re: So if you blow it ....how do you keep it small?

For me it was always if I knew I blew it, I knew I had to pay it back. So as I am running or biking to pay for the last sin, I end up being way to tired to sin again. It has worked so far, so if mentally stopping yourself due to accountability, use a little diversion or redirection to break the cycle. It doesn't hurt either that the little bit of extra exercise might help stop the headaches from occuring too.

I just say to myself /no more'. I've probably enjoyed the bit I had but why blow all my hard work out of my you know where, which is where it eds up, after all.
And my pen and ink diary really helps, I write down everything, cheats and all, so when I look back I can see just how stupid it was to do that.
Find a strategy that works for you, and have a hard and long conscious think before you eat that cake (or whatever).

Re: So if you blow it ....how do you keep it small?

I had a WT day that turned into four. yes, four. by the fourth day, i felt light headed and slow and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion on occasion, that was when i said WT for real and got back on induction, today as a matter of fact. only problem is, i'm studying for my LSAT, so i forgot to eat lunch. by the time i realized it, i was starving. I was so close to eating a burger. so i tore into Target and got a small can of macadamion nuts mixed with almonds and pecans. after i ate it i thought, ****, you can't have nuts on induction. i almost went and got that burger for real, but i sat in my car, took a couple of deep breaths and drank some water. as soon as i got home, i had a salad with chicken.

it wasn't the best day, but it could have been a whole lot worse. it's just those moments when you see everything clearly; you see your choices and you choose. sometimes, not always for the best, but if you don't think you are worth fighting for, what's left but death. kind of morbid, i know, but it's the truth, at some point you have to be worth the trouble. if your not worth being healthy and happy, then what's left?

If I loose my mind in the morning I am done for the day
if I loose my mind over food in the evening I have no trouble with eating one thing and then stopping ...

            I am a sugar/white flour junkie I confess!!!!

I can no longer drink dessert wine either ...or I will eat cake :P

it is funny that the time of day matters so much ..or maybe it is just there is so much time left to be out of control in the day when I eat poorly in the morning who knows ....I just know if I eat sugar/white flour I want more and more and more ...so if I know I am going to have a dessert with sugar/white flour I actually eat it as late in the day as possible..

I have not had it spill over into a second day however because I really love what I eat now

OK - so how long does it take to get back into fat burning mode?

I'm feeling repentant - but nothing's working out well.

When your body is done burning off the carbs you ate, you go back to burning fat. That's why its important to make the next thing you eat "on plan"

My rough times are when (Guys cover your eyes) I ovulate. Not so much when TOM is aroound. I could eat the butt out of a choclate horse when ovulating.
