    Re: Help! Mexican food!

if you got the menu call and ask what the marinade is it could be lime juice and chillies all legal foir you.

remember don't just ask does it have sugar causae honey isn't sugar. Ask what is in it and what the sweeteners are.

I can't tell you how many naive waters ahve confidently told me no soy and when pressed "it has mayo" or a "spice mix" in it. when I ask what is the oil in the mayo or the actual spices in ther mix they sheepishly return and say soybean oil or their is soy in the spice mix.

Just a little pat on the back for myself. Went for Mexican food, I had a salad which was lettuce topped with guacamole, chopped tomato, pico de gallo, sour cream, and a little cheese. And I had NO chips and salsa. Completely legal and I'm on my third day of a brand new clean induction extension!

And I felt so much better when I left than before. I'm always stuffed and mad at myself for eating something I shouldn't. Right now I'm satisfied, not stuffed, and pleased as can be that I ate like I should!

I went to a Mexican restaurant yesterday for lunch. I had their fajita taco salad it was basically beef fajita meat on a bed of lettuce with sour cream and quacamole on top. I used the bowl of hot sauce they brought me, for the chips that I didn't eat, for my dressing. It was yummy and the best part was they weren't chinsy with the beef it had a nice amount of beef on it. I usually go for the fajitas and just don't eat the tortillas when I go for mexican.

I usually get the fajitas but I'm too suspicious now about the marinade that's on the meat. I'm sure there is sugar in it and I haven't asked yet. I'll have to do that next time I feel like ordering them. I'm getting sugar-phobic!
