    Re: Crazy Nutrionist

Nutritionists, like many doctors too, based their medical advice on years of potential misinformation from what are supposed to be experts in the field like the American Heart Association and the FDA etc. But what if this information is wrong? And what if the standard food pyramid diet or low calorie diet doesn't work for everyone?

What research I have been reading (into actual medical studies too) has been showing that their information and guidelines might not be right. Proof: why are obesity and heart disease numbers increasing over the last 30 years since these recommendations came out, instead of decreasing?

Going to the doctor or a nutritonist can't hurt, but also remember that they might not have all the information that's out there available either. Second opinions and doing some research online and asking questions is a better way at getting a better picture on what might be the best solution for you.

Thanks to the Internet, we can do much of our research into things as well as be a part of ADBB where we can learn how to do things right and the reasons why they work.

Low fat/low calorie doesn't work for everyone. I am living proof of that.

interesting point I forgot to mention. The nutritionist who taught this class I took admitted that the low fat craze is one of the causes of obeisty.
