Re: Cheesecake Factory 6 Carb Cheesecake

Sorry! I don't understand it though. I have remained ketotic and have still continued to lose weight. I guess maybe it's because I am a guy and I do jog everyday...

For some people, sugar alcohols (or any artificial sweetener for that matter) affects them like regular sugar. So, eating something with 22 grams of sugar alcohol would be like them eating 4 teaspoons of regular sugar!

Each of us has a carb tolerance level for losing or maintaining weight. Dr. Atkins called those numbers "Critical CArbohydrate Losing Level" or "Critical CArbohydrate Maintenance Level". And during the later phases of ATkins we find what those individual numbers are. In other words, only very, very, very few of us need to remain eating 20 net carbs daily in order to lose or maintain weight.

I can eat up to 50 net carbs daily and lose weight. We have some members who can eat over 100 net carbs daily and lose weight.

So...your mileage might vary on this cheesecake.

It's nice that there are places that will go this route with desserts, there aren't too many. If you're out, you have a decent option. THanks for posting the additional nutritional info, it's good to know. Although most locals where I am at would never choose to dine at the Cheesecake Factory on purpose (it's aka 'Denny's' of Union Square -- the SF restaurant is pretty BAD!) ~ this option makes it almost worth a visit.
