    Re: Champagne

You can blame Sideways for the Merlot stigma.
    God I hated that movie.

Champagne is awesome though I probably will abstain until my birthday in October. BF's family always seems to have an abundance of it at all family functions. That and every varietal of wine ever created.

I'd love to try it! If you ever find out the brand name please let me know.

        Re: Champagne

Sounds like me! I by no means have money, but my kitchen is always full of bottles of champagne, wine, spirits...And I dont drink much! Maybe 3 or 4 times a year? But we always have wine here for guests or special occassions, of which there seem to be many.

              Re: Champagne

Hmmmm, I have to give up my lovely champagne?

              Have been dabbling in cocktails.
A Mimosa is champers, orange and triple sec (orange liquer)
A Bucks Fizz is just champers and orange.

Anyway, enough of this wonderful conversation.

I always made my Mimosa's with champagne, fresh OJ and a dash of peach liquer

                    Re: Champagne

dry champagne with a few..fresh chilled sliced peaches and a couple of chilled raspberries ...low carb and you can eat the peaches and raspberries with your fingers when you are done sipping the champagne

just thought I would toss that out to you..it takes time to prepare...and to drink...and to eat.....so one is enough ....there are less than 5 ingredients in a nice bottle of dry champagne and I can pronounce them all

                        Re: Champagne

I think it is just grapes sugar and yeast and the yeast eats most of the sugar especially in dry champagne...

I was being sarcastic in the idea that champagne is not a frankenfood..since I had been on a rant about it ...champagne it is a very fun thng to drink!!!

what is it about those types of bubbles I wonder? ...I dont drink or like soda ..but I LOVE champagne!!!!

Oh dear, Holmes! Now which is better - Making it on Atkins without champagne, or making it not on Atkins with?? Sure of course it HAS to be the threesome that's best!
