Re: pita bread???
I agree with Bren, it depends what phase of Atkins she's on. I occasionally have potato or popcorn, because those foods are perfectly 'legal' for my phase of Atkins.

Re: pita bread???
Joseph's makes an oat and flax pita bread that is amazing and soooo low in carbs. It's only 5 per bread, and I always sliced it in half so it was 2.5. I bought them in the deli section of Walmart. I hope they're still selling them when I'm able to eat them again.

Re: pita bread???
Last year I hit a sale on Low Carb bread so I bought a bunch and put it in the freezer. When I got up to the grains rung I added a slice in and my body reacted badly to it. Put on an immediate 3 pounds. Now I know that wasn't actual weight...it was only one thin slice of bread. But my body reacted to it so I couldn't eat it. Tried it at a later date after I got rid of those 3 extra pounds...which took more than a couple of days of eating on plan and the same thing happened. SIGH. Just because something is lowcarb or legal doesn't mean it is going to be okay for your body.Elsie150
