Pesto is a veggie in my mind too.

I'm in the middle of freezing my garden excess. I'm thinking about buying a food dehydrator so I can preserve some of the herbs I have.

My mom does that too. She eats everything while it's fresh, cans some of it, freezes some of it, then dehydrates herbs and tomatoes and stuff. She's a total foodie so there's always something yummy to eat around there. I just wish she was closer than 4 hours away when I'm hungry.

My mom used to can tomatoes, beans, etc. When we went peach or apple picking, she would can those.

I never got into canning, myself.

The one thing I miss is that I'm not at goal yet so I can't have the brandied peaches.
