Re: Lets talk about the food pyramid

since we are all about 'going against the grain' here... I thought some of you would be interested in this article about cholesterol and how our food choices (and recommendations) are manipulated from 'on high'....

You'll need a work out afterwards to lower your blood pressure but good, interesting information to that once-again backs up the Atkins WOE!

Re: Lets talk about the food pyramid

I was so aggravated the other day when my daughter came home with her food pyramid and had cut out all of the 'appropriate' foods and filled them in on the charts etc.

This is so not the way we eat here at our house and I really had to try to explain to her that the realllllly tiny part with sugars and fats together was WRONG. Sugars and fats do not belong in the same category at all. And as for eating all of that starch - ugh!

Of course she filled it out the way she was 'supposed to' and got an "AMAZING" sticker on it.

So my 7 year old is already being brainwashed into how to get fat....

copy our Atkins food pryamid and send it to her teacher with the tiny grains area and ask why your child is being taught to eat in a manner that has increased the weight and cholesterol of the USA and not in a healthy manner.
