Hi all,
We are Emily (23 F) and Sam (25 M) and have both just joined the board and 5 days into induction. We have followed every rule going and been very strict with ourselves (even when Sam had to nip into hospital for a quick Op - He didn't have a celebration drink that evening when he got the All Clear from the big C) and everything started peachy in the garden. We know that you shouldn't weigh yourself in the 1st 2 weeks but Sam likes Excel and wanted to do a daily graph - here are the results so far:
Day 1Day 2Day 3Day 4Day 5Emily (5ft 5)62.662.46262.262.6Sam(6ft 4)104.6104103.4103.6103.6
So after such an encouraging early start which made it so much easier foregoing the usual few drinks in an evening plus the sugar cravings, to have everything go back to normal makes us both think that we could be having some drink in moderation (going to the gym more) and not have to cut out so much (Well the drink anyway) and we would be better off. It just seems we are giving up a lot for no gain - I have read quite a bit already and know that patience is a virtue but we were hoping that atkins was the answer for fast results ans Em's preferred weight is 55kg (a size 6-8 UK) and Sam's is 95kg.
Please can someone spur us on - Having spent a fortune on food and the books - we really don't want to quit, but having faith that it will all turn around is fairly difficult.
