    They are not sticky or particularly slimy (just a bit, but not gross), they are actually very good I think (I was not sure about them at first either)
    You can't find them dried, but they keep quite long refrigerated, so when we go to the asian market (where you have the biggest chance of finding them for a low price) I always stock up on them so I have them available whenever.
    Some markets carry a variation that has seaweed in it, also very tasty.
    They are to my opinion only good as asian food, so don't expect them to be a substitute for pasta, but in any asian dish they are really great !

      Oh, I just love these - especially since they are becoming more and more available in mainstream health food markets lately. Before, a trip to an Asian supermarket was necessary; so, it seems they are really catching on!
