Re: Uh oh...
I'll address both the original post and angelstar's question. The ketostix tell you NOTHING about weight loss. It only tells you that your body has processed fat. They do not tell you if that fat was dietary or body fat. I see people time and again on here saying if you drink enough they will never be dark purple. That is simply not true. I drink close to 8 liters of water some days, and the color can be almost non-existent to dark purple. It depends on when I test, what I ate that day, etc.
If you eat 2 pounds of butter a day you will be as dark purple as can be and I guarantee you will be gaining weight as well.
So going back to the original poster, I ask the following questions. Are you eating only until satisfied? You are supposed to stop when hunger is satisfied, even if you have food on your plate or carbs left in your daily allowance. Are you overeating legal foods? Have you started an exercise program? I recently just started running again after a month off and I gained 8 pounds in 2 days (water as the muscles superhydrate to repair themselves). It's gone now but you see where I'm going.
Post a normal daily menu, with corresponding amounts and let us see. Then maybe we can give an intelligent answer to your dilemna. BTW if you don't already, fitday.com is a great tool to track your dietary intake, and quickly notice ratio or overeating issues.
