    A me me me post!

Ok ladies and gents, before I start I apologise for the blatant, me me me ness of this thread, but I have to share it, I am gobsmacked!

Starts off really with a bit of a confession, over the last 6 months I have put on a bit of weight (around 7lbs). Not that much, but enough to make me concerned. Now no matter what I did, I just couldn’t shift that extra weight.

I went to the gym last night, and asked one of the trainers there to set me a new upper body weight routine. As part of the "meeting", I agreed to have my BMI measured. I was very worried as I knew of those extra 7lbs and was a little scared of what my figures would read. (My gym have kept a record of my weight loss, my BMI and my body fat % ever since I started Atkins, over 3 years ago). I was worried as I thought all my figures would have gone up.

Anyway, the last time I had these measurements taken by the gym was April 2006. 11 months later and my figures read like this…….

    8th April 2006

    Weight 86.8 kg
    BMI 27.8
    Body Fat 22.8%
    Fat Mass 19.6
    Fat Free Mass 66.4kg

    8th March 2007
    Weight 89.9 kg
    BMI 28.7
    Body Fat 17.5%
    Fat Mass 15.6
    Fat Free Mass 73.4kg

I am still literally jumping for joy right now! I have put on weight, but it is all muscle. Such a relief. I have lost 5.3% body fat in the last 11 months. Out of my total of 89.9 kg just 16kg of that is fat!

    Thanks for reading.

Sorry about the “me me me” nature of the post.

    Rich

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Well - I think that is just great!!!!! I am also jumping up & down for you!!! I truelly think that you are living the Atkins way - not seeing it as a setback (the slight gain) and it has paid off - we always think that when we gain it is BAD!!! - well you proofed us wrong!
