Atkins makes exercise mandatory - I took up cycling - see last pics at 203lb.
I too had been a little concerned lately about a 5-7lb weight gain after taking up pilates. I have maintained well for over ten years now, with regular daily cardio and 3x weekly weight training. In November last year I started pilates twice weekly and started gaining quite quickly. I don't belong to a gym and don't measure BF in fact I have never really had any idea what my BF measurements are or should be. My point is that although this gain in weight scared the **** out of me at first, I seem also to have lost at least one size in my clothes. This has been quite interesting for me as I have used free weights nearly all my adult life so either I weren't using them properly or the pilates works very well for my body type. Just goes to show that you never become expert and you can always shake it up a notch!
Just had an afterthought, I do have the luxury of a one on one coach for the pilates and maybe the expert spotting and advice is keeping me on track better.
good work Rich that's pretty impressive %'s

Well Rich, now is the time to be brave. Higgies and I did it two years ago. Time for a picture of young Richard in shorts, stripped to the waist, standing sideways.
No excuses for coyness or hiding left.
What say you, ladies?

Because I put on those 7lbs, I automatically thought it was fat! And no matter how I saw my self in mirror I straight away could see where I "thought" the weight had been put on.
No that I know its muscle, I am back feeling and "looking" slim again.....

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
