I do not want to look like my sister in law (eek, eek & triple eek!). Post gastric band removal she put on c.3 stone (50lbs?) in 4 months - and she was a big woman when the band was removed!
I do not want to live in trousers all summer. Wearing a tent from the 'waist' down was never my thing. I'd like to wear pretty summer frocks.
            I don't want to die.
I'm tired of people going on diets when I get a new job.
I'm tired of glances, muted comments and titters. It's demoralising and does no good for limiting my fantasies of force-feeding the guilty entire cakes, pork pies, Mr Kipling's Viennese Whirls, bannoffee pie and foie gras entier.
I want the option of buying clothes in every store on the highstreet (if there are any left after this recession!) inlcuding charity shops!
I'd like to be found attractive as a package instead of the usual 'great personality' or 'lovely hair'.
I want to make my husband proud - and set him an example!

I say to people when it comes to the wrong foods is ,I could eat a pound of chips, cakes candies ,pasta but I developed allergies and can not have that stuff any more. When you mention allergies to anyone they stop pushing you to eat .

1.I want to wear clothes because they're fashionable, and not because they make me look thinner.
                2. I want to prove to myself that I can follow through until the end.
3.This might sound silly, but I want to do it for dr. Atkins. I hear time and time again complaints that this is an egg cheese meat diet and that it's not sustainable. Why is that?? Because a bunch of nudniks like myself do this diet improperly and inconsistently and give the good doc a bad name. The reason ppl have these misconceptions is because people do lc poorly and call it Atkins. It makes me feel bad. Here's this man that has given everyone the key to success and myself and others are not representing properly. I think the biggest form of gratitude would be to do this woe properly, lose weight, keep it off and then be a shining example of what this woe can be. It's a small part in carrying on his legacy. (Yes I get emotional during tom...why do u ask)....but am serious...its the least I could do for the freedom dr A's given me.

I want to go to an amusement park and ride all the rides without worrying I won't fit.
I want to run and play with my kids, like I'm a kid again.
I want to buy any clothes I want without wondering if they'll have my size.
Oh yeah, and heels, I want to wear heels!

I really hadn't thought about success in this way, but you are absolutely right. For the first time in oh so many years I am in control of what I eat rather than the other way around.

I also have come accross so many people who disagree with the Atkins WOE and yes you are right it is good to be an example to my doctor in particular and my arthritis surgeon who was going to put me on a liquid fasting diet which would have messed my metabolism up and just filled me with more sugar.

I take my hat off to you Carne you have hit the nail on the head getting the Dr Atkins the accolaide that he deserves is a very good reason for success.

I don't use excuses anymore. I had some major foot problems before and required surgery on both feet two times before I was 28. The pain i was experiencing caused me to not be able to be active. I used tat for years. I was on my feet at work for 10 hours a day so I could barley walk when I got home.

I am not in as much pain as before. My Dr. has cleared me for exercise. I am only in pain, not being hurt. I have known all these years after being on Atkins before the birth of my last child and losing 130 pounds, it works.

I had to accept that nobody was going to make me lose the weight or get motivated but me. I am doing it now. I have taken off 40 pounds since 10/1 and gone from a 24 to a 18. I work out 3 days a week alternating it with bike riding and walking and running.

No more excuses!!! I am done with them.

I will see if I need a new goal after that one
                        25 pounds to go!

That's where I am now. I have talked about losing weight for so long that I don't think anyone believes I can do it. I sometimes even question myself. I really want this and I'm motivated, but I tend to give in to temptation quickly.

I HATE my thighs rubbing together.
I HATE seeing pics of myself from 8 yrs ago and thinking "who's that?"
I HATE when the boys at work notice some SKINNY girl walking by and don't give me 2nd looks.
I LOVE it when I wear a shirt that actually fits to work and my boys go "have you lost weight"
I HATE my family telling me I need to lose weight when they are ALL bigger than me.
I HATE hearing some of my family at Christmas asking me when my baby is due. (I'm not married and NOTHING is going on in that department!)
I HATE the fact my mother had quadruple bypass at 54, is type 2 diabetic, has high blood pressure. Same goes for my father (no bypass of ANY kind).
I HATE looking at my parents and seeing myself at ANY age.
I HATE every joint in my body achy and popping constantly when I move.
I LOVE going clothes shopping and being able to get into a size I haven't been in 8 years!
I LOVE feeling like a beautiful sexy woman again.
I LOVE it when a few of my old classmates tell me "You look GREAT"
I LOVE the fact that most of my family is VERY supportive of my weight loss.
I LOVE the fact there are a few ladies at work that are doing Atkins and together we get excited over one of us losing one lb.
                            I LOVE getting healthy.

                            That's a "few".

Very impressed with your list Lori and glad to know that you have support from your family often bigger family members can be unhelpful and tell you that you don't look so good 'thin' you are only 25 so you probably look great but as you get older losing weight can leave you looking a bit 'baggy' and your confidence isn't so great. so very best wishes to you to carry on with your goal.
