I want to stick to this because I work with a woman who is the 'B***H from ****' - I am her manager but she manages to make my life **** - so I am going to be slim which will give me the confidence to boot her out!!! and that is pretty sad - as I am no bigger than her - it's just that she is soooo much taller than me as well - and I will wear red! - apparently a power colour!

Thanks for the compliment UK Girl... though whoever said that "the camera doesn't lie"... was lying! Lol. Plenty of wretched wrinkles around, just the pic is too small to see em!

                  I love this thread!

Each day eating the Atkins way, I physically and mentally feel more youthful. More energy, more pep in my step, enjoying each day fully - it's like the fountain of youth and all because of what I eat now! I don't want to slip back, it's not for me. No to the junk food, keep away from my lips lol

Re: What excuse do you have......

                          My excuses:

I don't want people looking at me and my gorgeous fiance and wondering "How did a great looking guy like that end up with someone like her?"

I don't want to spend another summer on the beach hiding under a towel watching bitterly as some skinny girl in a bikini eats a cheeseburger while my kids beg me to come in the water and play not knowing that mommy is too embarassed to uncover herself.

I want to wear a strapless wedding dress without those little rolls of fat squeezed between the top of my dress and my underarms.

I want to borrow my skinny sister's clothes.

I don't want to get fatter. I'm way too short to be heavy. It just looks terrible on me.

I want to be the smokin mom at the open houses at my kids' school.

                          30, female

I cannot spend another summer on the beach trying to hide 31% body fat under shorts and a t-shirt.

Today's excuse for not eating the cake in the breakroom this afternoon and not eating the chips that were within reach on the table next to me during dinner:

I miss the adorable 50's style dresses I used to find at thrift shops back when I was in shape (1998-2002-ish).

They don't come in my current shape!!!

                                • I don't want to step into an elevator and have everyone look for the maximum capacity sign.
                                • I want to be able to go into a regular store and find clothes my size.
                                • I want my co-workers to stop assuming that because I'm fat that must mean I'm lazy.
                                • I want to stop people who have never had a weight problem from giving me advice on how to lose weight.
                                • I want strangers to stop feeling like it's their God given right to toss insults at me about my weight.
                                • And... I want to see if there's any truth to the belief that for every 20 lbs you lose, you gain an inch. I need to lose almost 300 lbs so you do the math.
