Re: How often do you weigh yourself?

I have not weighed since I started. The first time I did Atkins, I was like a lot of you, weighing every couple of hours and I would flip when I saw the scale move up. Ive learned through all my experiences with Atkins that its not about the scales. Im doing this to be healthy and feel better mentally and physically . I've learned that a box with numbers on it isnt going to determine my mood for the day. For those of you that find it more encouraging to weigh everyday...thats your thing...its just not mine. I could really care less about my weight is, I feel good and thats all that matters!! I dont want to be skinny, I dont care about being thin, I just care about being a healthier person inside and out!

Re: How often do you weigh yourself?

Like many others have said, I weigh at least once a day (the "second-thing-in-the-morning" real weight), and as many other curiosity weights as I think of or have opportunity.

To me the scale is another tool, not a driving force. How many carbs did I have yesterday, how much exercise did I get, what did I weigh, etc. It's not something to obsess about but it can, when coupled with careful diet analysis, help pin-point problems. Gee, every time I bounce up a pound I ate this food the day before. Ok, I had that yesterday so I can expect the pound to be there this morning and gone tomorrow morning again.

Re: How often do you weigh yourself?

I jump on the scales almost everyday - it keeps me motivated. I dont stress if it fluctuates a little -- I expect that. I know i am losing nicely - i am not in a hurry, I keep having to put extra holes in my belt so that makes me happy! I think i would go nuts if I had to weigh only once a week ( HA HA SCOOTER MY SCALES DONT HAVE BATTERIES!!!)
