  • Help! No weight loss-"that time of month"

    It should be "that time" any day now...the 31st was day 28 and I can tell that I am retaining water...but it is frustrating...I've been very good and worked out everyday...oh well just wanted someone to tell my it happened to you too and that it will go away(please let it go away!)

    Every month I gain anywhere from 3 to 8 lbs of water weight. it goes away after...I find that keeping up with regular cardio exercise, it stays closer to the 3lbs than 8.

      Ditto to what Jen said. I retain water during my TOM. So I don't weigh or measure during that time (to keep my sanity.) As long as I remain doing what I'm supposed to be doing, I don't worry about the water weight 'gain'.

        I usually gain 3-5, but lose 8-10 afterwards (hopefully, to include the weight that I would have normally lost!!) ;-D

        Goal 1 - under 200 - met 10/19/2009
        Goal 2 - 190 - met 10/25/2009
        Goal 3 - 180
        Goal 4 - 170
        Goal 5 - 160
        Goal 6 - 150
        Goal 7 - 140
        Goal 8 - 135
        Goal - To zip up current pants without sucking it in-10/25/09
        Goal - To need a belt/roll waistband of current pants
        Goal - To wear the next size down - 11/13/09
        Goal - To wear the next size down - without a muffin top!! 11/18/09
        Goal - To wear 'those' jeans (ya know - the ones in the back of the closet, hidden under a winter coat)
        Day 13 - wine free/ cheat free

          Thanks guys...I had been losing really steady about 1lb/day(on extended induction)until now and I have actually gained 2.5 back but I know I havent done anything bad so fingers crossed thats what it is...maybe I'll get a big surprise in a few days and it'll drop off

            Do not go near the scales when TOM is anywhere near. It just messes with your mind.
