She may have had low calcium and potassium levels, but I seriously doubt that is why she died. She wasnt on the diet long enough for that kind of impact on her body, and I doubt she even was getting the correct nutrient levels when she wasnt on Atkins. There were two kids that died at my school from mysterious heart problems; they were perfectly fine, then they collapsed and died for seemingly no reason. Later the parents found out they had some kind of undiagnosed heart defect. This kind of thing happens all the time, yes it's sad, but it's just too easy for people to pin it on something like Atkins.
