    anybody else taking L-Carnitine??

I think this works- anyway I've been on 500 mg/3x day with meals and it seems to tip me fropm trace to small or moderate on the next day ketostix. Anybody else have any experience with this??

I just started taking it at the beginning of the week along with CLA. I keep reading about so many people using it and helping them with weightloss. How long do you think before I see any positive changes? (Even energy level?)

      Re: anybody else taking L-Carnitine??

I've been taking L-carnitine for about 6 weeks. I don't use ketostix, so I wouldn't know about the color change. BUT, L-carnitine is supposed to help with the breakdown of fat for energy use, so that would be plausible. What I've noticed is that I have the ability to do more intense workouts with less fatigue, and I've lost a lot of inches since I've started taking it. I didn't take it for weightloss purposes (isn't that what Atkins is for? ) I started taking it to improve my workouts!

Juli- what would happen if you went off Carnitine for a few weeks? Do you think you would notice a diference in energy?

Hmm, good question. I don't know. Maybe? I'd rather not find out--I have been feeling really great these past six weeks!

But think of the RESEARCH value. We would all be grateful to know if the Carnitine boosts energy. You would be a heroine!

I have heard that you need to take it one hour before you exercize for optimal results. Is that true?

I took it the first time around but haven't gotten any this time. I think I did notice it made my workout more productive and I always tried to remember to take it before I started.
