  • is this even possible?

    Hi gang!
I am going to Hawaii in 2 months with my family for 15 days. It is a true dream vacation and I really want to go zip linning with my DH. I have lost 70 pounds. BUT I need to lose another 60 pounds to be able to meet the weight requirements. I am on OWL now and am on the alcoohol rung. If I up my exercise by a lot can it be done? I am in this for the long haul, I just know we will not be going back and I don't want to miss my chance.

    Thanks
    Amy

Personally I would skip the alcohol rung for the next 2 months so as to avoid the 'weightloss postponement' that drinking alcohol is likely to give you.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thanks guys, should I drop back my carbs/ or to a lower rung, like one or 2?

          Re: is this even possible?

No - just stay on rung 4 for another week or so before moving up to the next OWL rung. Maybe add 5 net carbs more from the foods you are already eating to see if you are approaching your CCLL?

60 pounds in 2 months? Short of removing a leg - no. You don't even want to try it. A pound a day is just not doable or healthy. But I would work hard any way you never know they might change the weight requirement or misread your weight.

Working on a weight goal with a time goal is tough for me.

Also before you weigh in you can take a sauna and dehydrate a bit like boxers do to stay in their weight category before a competition.

I'm not a big believer in "timed goals" so I personally don't believe 60 pounds in 2 months is a realistic goal. However have you researched into other companies that do zip lining in Hawaii? I found one online that says the weight limit is 260 but you don't have your weight posted and I have no clue where in Hawaii you are going.....Keep us posted if you find one that you can do.

                  Thanks guys,
I am going to Kauia and there is one place that has a weight limit of 280 , I would just need to drop 25 pounds for that. The one I really want t go on it 250.

                  Thanks

                    Re: is this even possible?

That is interesting. I never heard of a vacation place that has a weight limit or requirement. I'm speechless!!! Is that common for Hawaii? Anywhere else in the US?

Wanting to loose at least 25 lbs in 2 months is very ambitious. You're the only one who know's your body best. I guess excercising in the right heart rate zone will be very essential to burn lots of fat and not build to much muscle. Good luck to you!

It is not the vacation place, it is the activity. I want to go ziplining with my DH.

Ziplining ( sorry had a typo in there ) is wherre they have these metal wired strung over valleys and canyons, then you were a harness, and hook onto the line, and zip across

that sounds like so much fun! im jealous of you

I like to say that nothing is impossible if you try hard enough...

also - although it doesnt seem 'right' to be able to lose 60lbs in two months, things change and you really wanting it bad enough - could make it happen.

I know that there have been times during my atkins adventure that i have lost 60lbs in two months before, but since you have already lost 70lbs it will probably come off slower. just hang in there and do the best you can do, you might surpise yourself.

                            just my opinion..
