I dont know what kind of parasites you mean....but if you eat lots of crude and not well cooked meat especially pork, have parasites(round worms etc..) anyway its rare if you eat meat that carefully inspected by vets before its put on sale......
Otherwise you can have your stool examined.I have lived in africa,and its very common.
Am not trying to be alarming just stating some facts......
