Everyone should subtract fiber from total carbs to get net carbs.
If you are using Fitday and want it to count the fiber for you, go into the left hand side of the screen under "Goals" and set a fiber goal. It doesn't matter which number you set it at... mine is set at 1 just so it will count the fiber for me. Now, Fitday will count the fiber for you! It will dislplay the number of grams of fiber along with your other totals for calories, fat, carbs, and protein. Just subtract your fiber from your total carbs, and you will have your net carbs... Easy!

Cool thanks! That will sure let me have alot more carbs then which will solve another problem. Thanks again!
While I note the non-digestible fiber content, I heed the total carbohydrate count - around 100 grams per day for me.
Hi, Sheila
I find this very interesting. Every time that I read that you can eat 100 grams of carbs a day, I have always assumed that you meant net carbs. So, while I thought that you have been able to eat tons more than me, you really aren't. For example, yesterday I had 79g of total carbs and 37g of fiber. So my net for the day was 79g carbs - 37g fiber = 42 net carbs. Not the gi-normous difference I thought it was. Especially since I am still losing between 1 and 2 pounds a week.
