Re: discussing this diet with people..Hard to do!

I don't even mention which program I am on, for two reasons. First, I have dieted for so many years that people just kind of roll their eyes or give me that patronizing smile "here she goes again." Second because the first thing I will hear if I say Atkins is how unhealthy it is and I really don't want to take the time to defend it. I just want to focus on my goals. When I get to goal - I will proudly talk about what I did and the proof will be in looking at me.

It is nice seeing a picture where I actually have a neck!

You have to do what makes you feel comfortable.

      What I know:
      1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

        Love love love that response!
Can't say I've run into people that say I'm going to die or drop dead except for my sister and my fiancee. At first they were both against atkins, but I did my research and I decided to take charge of my life. Now my fiancee has actually been doing Atkins with me and my sister is still a little against it, but not as much. She's all about low-cal. I don't know how she does it. I would be starving and when I did do lower-cal, boy was I moody!
I'm glad I decided to do Atkins and I make sure to tell everyone I'm on Atkins. I want other people to try it as well and see if it works for them, you know?
