Just a note of caution to any UK members - many of the pork rinds/cracklings/scratchings on sale over here have a list of ingredients including rusk (a starch) and sugar so are not really 'legal'.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Are there any brands that aren't so salty? The authentic ones maybe? Never had those. They are a nice treat, but I try to limit my salt, just for general health reasons.

            Hi Elizellen

I have just checked the ones i get and yes they do have rusk in them, as soon as i read your post i just knew mine would have rusk in it. The nutrition Info says Per 100g call 607, Pro 48, Fat 16 and carb only 1.6g, 0.2 of witch sugars so a 20g bag is very low carb but now you got me worried about this Rusk ( Wheatflour salt). I buy Mr Porky from tescos do you know of any that dont have Rusk in them? This might be the reason my sticks dont change colour after 12 days on less than 15g carbs a day.

Bettestress, if you can find a nice mexican or hispanic market, they'll have HUGE pieces and they are generally very lightly salted, at least in my experience.

                Hi Paul
I havent found any on sale in ordinary supermarkets without rusk or sugar, but then I havent looked very hard as I am not that keen on them!

www.lowcarbmegastore.co.uk have at least one variety with only pork, seasonings and salt in them - called 'Pub Original Pork Scratchings', and according to the scanty nutrition info on their site only 0.5 g of carbs per 50 gram bag.

However they also have varieties with rusk in them so if you do decide to order from them make sure you check the nutrition info carefully.

I have found they are helpful when I have phoned them for more info than there is on their website, so if info is missing (some items have only carb counts listed and not ingredients) just call them and ask.
