Pork Rinds are a very regional snack. Much more popular in the south and southwest. Here in New England, only a few grocery stores carry them, most don't.

They are big here in SoCal, I can find them everywhere too. I have found that in the grocery stores, they are usually on the bottom shelf.

Thank you ofr all the responses. I think I am gonna have to goto Walmart or Krogers tomorrow to see if I can find them. I looked last time I was at Kroger but eh... Anyway was on my way to almart tonight after my massage and to say the least I am overly paranoid now about my car breaking down Anyway I left from massage to go to wally world and smoke.... LOTS of smoke and burning rubber from under the hood. LOW and behold cold weather always seems to loosen the belts. YAHHHJ it wasn't major now I CAN get my pork rinds lol.

I am REALLY wanting to try them with cinnamon and splenda with some cream

OMG YES! The authentic ones! My neighbors made some fresh off a pig two weekends ago and brought them to me right out of the fryer. They were still hot and literally CRACKLING!

I'm drooling just thinking about them. Let me tell you if you've never had authentic chicharrones or cracklings, you simply MUST try them. I eat the ones from the store on occasion and they are NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING like the authentic ones.

With that said, Mirya, for what you are going to do with them, the ones from the store will be just fine. Back when I was eating dairy, the cream, splenda, cinnamon on pork rinds (while it simply sounds FOUL, was sooooo good) It was almost like eating rice crispies.

Ditto the cream/porkrinds/cinnamon combo! I would mash up the pork rinds, top with cream and cinnamon, and microwave for 30 seconds. It tasted almost like french toast or something, combined with cream of wheat.
