Morning all, Sounds like everyone is off to a good start!!! Had my bacon and eggs this morning. Lunch will be leftover Carnitas, guacomole and some steamed asparags. Dinner I have some chicken thighs marinating since yesterday so I will pan fry those with a side of steamed brocolli and cheese. Got some boiled eggs and pork rinds for snacking.

I do need to get my exercise in. I made an attempt to ride my stationary bike but I only made it to 10 min. Tonight I want to start on my DVD.

Its TOM week for me so not sure how the scales will move. Im not doing the No Weigh challenge this time but I will next time.

        Blend together:

1 clove of garlic (you can use more it will make it zingier)
        2 capfulls of lemon juice
        8-10 drops worchestershire sauce
        1 egg
        salt and pepper.

Slowly drip 1/2 cup of oil into mixture while still beating.

When it is mixed and thick add 1/4 cup parm cheese and a few drops of tabasco(I've also done it with a dash of cayenne pepper and it's equally as good)

This week I'm in the no way no weigh challenge, who else is in? I'm excited. I hope there is some movment at the end of the week, unlike last week.

I hope everyone has a fab low car monday!!! I'm off to th treadmill
I'm in the challenge too! Good luck! And I can't wait to try your ceasar dressing!

Ugh I know how she feels...I wanted to quit after 10 minutes tonight, but I pushed to 20. Sometimes I think I wanna trade in my elliptical for a treadmill. Maybe I would like it better.

I found this link on low carb chocolate for anyone who may be interested. Out of all the things I've to give up, chocolate has been the hardest...not cuz I'm addicted, just cuz I like it so much! There are many links for low carb recipes after the article.

Hi All - I'm a re-starter as of 2/25/08. I had to take some time off (since October) to do battle with an out-of-control thyroid problem that nearly did me in. So...I thought I'd pop in and mini-introduce myself as Feb person and I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Re: The Feb '08 Group Thread

Good lawdy, I'm BACK! I feel like you guys are family - I felt so off not checking in every 0.42 seconds like usual, lol.

Well, I fell off the wagon. I'm an emotional eater and so is even my skinny hubbie - and I let that get the best of me this weekend. To keep my post from becoming a small novel, I'll try to sum it up. On Friday we discovered Molly wasn't developing as she should with her eyesight. I got the call from my hubby while I was at work, listening to fabulous announcements of some big project that will wind me here all our Saturdays for March - including the one where Sean's folks are coming to visit, which I was looking forward to. *stressballs*

On Saturday, after a date with a specialist down in Dallas, she was diagnosed with PRA. Saturday evening, we met with a friend of our veterinarian who trains dogs with vision loss and owns a setter with PRA herself. After several hours of being there, we came to the potential conclusion that our house isn't as great at meeting her needs as the woman's, who seemed more than fabulous and really wanted to adopt her. We decided to sleep on the idea, even though when we took ourselves out of the equation, we knew what would be best and most safe for Molly. *stressballs*

On the drive home, I left a message with my sister (whom I don't get along with) that I might be having $$ troubles and wanted to talk about being a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding, ie getting info ASAP about the dress, flights, etc. While I'm not broke, we are working on one salary as my hubbie is unemployed for the moment (we worked for the same company and his department got outsourced overseas) so I want to be on top of all upcoming costs. At midnight, I got a call from my FATHER wanting to know why I'd told my sister I am refusing to attend her wedding -- WHAT?! But this is JUST like my sister. *stressball*

After a big long drawn out phone call til 2am to try to put everyone on the same page, I was sitting on my couch when our "hider" cat came out. Audrey isn't super social, she was a feral little thing we found and she's much happier to only come out and tour the house at night. She popped up on the couch with me and I noticed she had bloody paws. The culprit? An ingrown claw. *stressball*

Sunday morning, we woke up and made a vet appointment for Audrey and decided to rehome Molly to the PRA woman on a trial run. She came to pick her up and as wonderful as she is, I still felt like a giant turd. Upon immediately closing the door, I burst into tears and Sean threw up. *stressball*

Then the phone rang - my dad - to talk about my sister, who was apparently telling him I need to be a bridesmaid (did I say I wouldn't?!) but she was refusing to speak to me until the wedding. (thats great). She did however decide on their wedding date - the same weekend we'd already signed ourselves up to have a visit from Sean's older brother and our newphews. So we had to cancel their visit out and they decided to call the airlines to see what they could do with rearraging their tickets. *stressball*

By the time we left the vet, we realized we hadn't gone grocery shopping like usual on Saturday and we hadn't eaten anything. In a big emotional mess, we ran to the store, nabbed a bunch of Atkins things... and frosted cookies, a frozen pizza, Ben & Jerrys and Taco Bell. We vowed to pop back onto Atkins on Monday - but Monday came and went and was full of just as much crap. After being in crippling pain (apparently its more than just a TERRIBLE and weak idea to gorge on carbs due to stress, but its also a hard-to-digest and painful one) I headed back to work this morning, stuffed happily with bacon and eggs.

I just finished my chicken caeser salad. And dinner is spaghetti squash. I completely regret my two day binge, but I'm glad I'm back and I'm now more aware of how easily I can be triggered to run to comfort foods.

CONGRATS to my fabulous Kristi on her size goal!! And for AM being back after being flu-ridden and to everyone else! It feels like I'm home again!

And my lesson learned: I'm restarting Induction and I have to move my pretty 159 lb marker back to 160.2.
