  • Ladies...Have a question for you!

I apologize in advance...this sounds silly, and I am a bit embarrassed to bring it up on the public board, BUT -- When you lose weight, how long does it take for your BOOBS TO SHRINK!!!!!

I have battled the big boob problem since I was 11, and they have only gotten bigger since I gained all the weight in the past 3 years. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone tell me that I WILL lose my boobs?? I heard from a friend that when she lost weight, she still had big boobs, and I have to say that saddens me to no end! I would do anything to be able to walk into a store and fit into the same things that every other woman can fit into...but NOOOO. I even have to order my bathing suits online, and then the top still has problems fitting.

HELP!! Boobs, when do they go away!!

It depends on genetics largely. They may shrink they may not, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

Thanks! Yeah, im hoping I have "small boob" genetics hidden somewhere in my DNA, and it just got confused when I gained weight!

Hahaha, not to um... put a damper on things... but if that swimsuit picture is any indication and the age when they started growing... I wouldn't hold your breath too long.

Re: Ladies...Have a question for you!

I honestly don't think you will get a significant or at least a very noticable reduction. You are losing a relatively small amount of weight, if you were 100lbs overweight or something there might be a good chance, but as it is I'd not expect too much. Remember too that even if they do get smaller, the rest of you will too, so it might not look like they did.

I know it's not much consolation (I have big 'uns too, and always wanted a dainty set!!), but there are people paying a lot of money to get what you've got. Maybe you can learn to love em.

I've lost 48 pounds and mine are still here. The only thing that decreased was my band size; the cup stayed an F. I'm sorry!! I see a breast reduction in my near future.

I'm the same as Catrenia - band size down, cup size as it always was after 60+lbs gone.

                Hi

I am in the same boat - G cup!!!

It seems that people that liked their bigger boobs seem to shrink and those that don't keep them!

I guess if they only got bigger with the weight gain, there is a chance they could get smaller again.

                Good luck x

Re: Ladies...Have a question for you!

Wow F and G cups! I'm going to stop calling myself big busted. I was DD at my heaviest and I'm at D a third of the way toward my goal. I will likely be a C when I'm done. However, I'm at the age now where sagging may be taking its told :-b

S- if you were busty at age 11, I don't think small-boob genetics is likely the case. I am one of those folks that does loose cup size, but obviously from the other posts here, many are not. Don't worry about it until you've completed your goals and then weight your options at that point ;-)

I find it funny how so many women can't get boobs big enough and then there's the rest of us who'd love to hand some out for free ha!

                  • Low sodium (attempting - it's really tricky!)
                  • Grazing Approach
                  • Use of vitamins and whey protein isolate

I was at least a full C when I started and now my bra is way too big (cup and band). It can happen but I am pretty sure mine are not going to get too much smaller.

Okay, I have the opposite prob. I was 15 going on 16 before i ever got boobs, lol. At my heaviest, Im a c cup. When i lose weight, they are the first thing to go. Cup size before band even! At my thinnest I was a modest B. I always wanted more to look more preportioned and when id wear a nice push up, and seemed to have more on top, I actually appeared to have a waist.

I think it really does play into genetics as my mom is the same as me in where she loses too.

Re: Ladies...Have a question for you!

I'm with Mindy. I've lost 20+ lbs since Sept. and my boobs have run away. I always had a great rack. Even when I was 100lbs, I was 100lbs with great boobs - 34C. Now.... I'm a 36A - I always wanted little boobies that looked up to the sky. Now I have little boobies that look to the ground....

One of my great pals is little, like me (5ft nothing) She has a really large chest. She's gotten skinnier and her boobs haven't budged.

                        Gotta be a genetic thing...

Oh no!! Haha...thank you all for great input. I was just wondering, because I have heard different sides of it as well. Genetics...Thanks A LOT mom --- haha. Ive ALWAYS had boobs, there's no doubt about that, but they were a C cup throughout high school, and didnt get up to a DD cup until AFTER high school when I went from 125 lbs to 145ish. So I am hoping...with crossed fingers....that they will go back down to the size they were when I was a smaller weight.

You all gave me wonderful perspectives about the whole topic though because I was CONFUSED about how that all worked.

I agree about how its unfair that there are people out there who would pay thousands to have what us big busted girls have, yet we would give ours away for free!! haha!

Mine definitely go up and down with my weight. I have worn every size cup from a A to a DD during my adult life. As a teen I was a C cup, then moved into a D after two pregnancies, lost weight down to 98 lbs. and went into an A cup then worked myself back into my current DD at 155 lbs... I am trying to get down to at least 120 and hope to be back in a C again. My 13 dd, is in a DD cup at 160 lbs and I am hoping with weightloss they will go down the same as I have experienced.

Well, I've always had biggies too...and when I was overweight they really bothered me. Far too big, and the tops of my arms were far too fat too; both out of proportion to the rest of me.
When I lost weight on Atkins, they shrunk! Amazing... I thought they'd still be out of proportion, just a bit smaller, but no... they're ok now. I'd still like a bit shaved off my upper arms, but I'm not complaining. I'm at the same weight I was in my twenties...but in my twenties my breasts were proportionally bigger.
