Re: Clothing Size Question for all Ladies!!!!!!!!!!! I should know this, but I don't

As others have said, it really depends on body type and where you're losing your weight from. I'm 5'4" also. When I did Weight Watchers and got to the lowest weight I've probably been at since middle school, I was at 140 and was still wearing a size 10 that fit just right. Now doing this WOE and working out differently than I did before, I'm at 147 and wearing size 10 that are fairly loose on me. I've lost more weight in my waist and hips. I wouldn't worry about clothes sizes as much as I would worry about how I'm feeling about myself. I know that right now I feel so healthy and even better than when I was at 140 previously. I can only imagine how I'll feel once I get to goal!

    You can do it!

My experience has been similar to Caroline's. In college, my lowest adult weight was 165 (on a high carb, low fat diet), and I wore a size 14/16. So, I assumed that would be my goal size when I first started Atkins -- I was a size 26 and nearly 300 pounds when I started. However, currently at 195 pounds, I'm a 14/16. Atkins definitely burns more fat/inches than others diet plans. I would have NEVER guessed my goal size would be a 10 or a 12, but it's looking like that might be the case.

Good luck to you! I hope you're keeping track of your losses with photos and the tape measure. These often show progress when the scale isn't cooperating.

        Hey,
I'm 5"4, 148 and I wear a 10. However, about 5 years ago when I used to do a lot of pilates and yoga I weighed about 139 and wore sizes 5-6. So just to say that the kind of exercise you do, especially toning exercises like pilates can change your body in ways that don't necessarily show up on the scale.

At the start of Atkins I was 220 and a size 16/18
I am 5'10", weigh 159, and I wear a size 11. Dang... haha. Do you fit into size 12 in every brand or is there a particular brand you wear? It is amazing to see how different two bodies are... but also, unfair. har har.

So basically, I think every person's body is different, and that a 12 may NOT be possible for the original poster... but it could be. Who knows.

I'm 5'2 and try not to pay too much attention to sizes, only because I get what I think is cute or looks good. I have a closet that ranges in sizes from Jr's 3 to womens 2x. At 140 I wore a size 8. A lot of it depends on the cut of the particular clothing. Since I'm short, I stick to jeans from Gap and Old Navy.

I'm (barely!) 5'3", am medium-boned according to my doctors, and have a very muscular, almost exaggerated hourglass build. However, before losing the weight, I was the epitome of an Apple shape, as shown below.

                At 141, I started at a tight size 10. When I was in the 130's, I was a size 8; upper 120's, a size 6; lower 120's, a 4; upper 1-teens, a 2. Now, at 109, I'm in 0's, 1's, and sometimes 2's, depending on the designer. Tops are an XS. Hope this helps!
