Re: Nightmare on Scale street
Did eating those french fries fix the problem? Do you feel better because you ate them?
I know those seem like harsh questions, but they're fair and they're honest and they're the type of questions you're going to have to start asking yourself BEFORE you eat them if you don't want to see 214 or higher on that scale again. This is not a drill. This is the real deal.
vek, lots of us have been where you are and have had happen to us what happened to you. I *know* it's disheartening, but all it means is that you started out heavier than you thought you did. It doesn't negate your work or your losses up to this point. It's a scale. It gives you a number. That's it. Honestly, the scale is the *least* accurate way to measure your progress and success, so while I know it's tough, don't put too much stock in it. Know why? I have a great example.
One of my best friends and I are the same height. We have the same build too. She weighs 130lbs and is a size 10. I weigh 146lbs today and I wear a size 6 in most things. Tell me, who do you think happier with the big picture?
It burns her
to no end and it makes me
. The numbers on a scale are just that.....numbers.
Now, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get going again. I would also recommend re-inducting. Induction is not just about getting in ketosis. Induction is about starting to re-learn how to use food. It's about starving out that carb-tooth that got us big behinds to begin with, and starting out from the basics and working back up. USE the program, don't just "do" it. There's a difference.
Hang in there and JOB WELL DONE on your weight removal so far!!!
