    I celebrated 1 year today at my company. I got a little award thing and stuff pretty cool. Someone gave me a raspberry creamcheese brownie for it and I ate it.

    BUT... It's a couple hours later and I'm eating my lunch... back to normal... 1 whole chicken breast cheese and mushrooms... A month ago I would have taken that brownie mistake as permission to continue eating like that for the rest of the day. I would have ordered the chicken parmesan *breaded with pene pasta & sauce I'm sure has plenty of sugar and breadsticks* instead of the grilled chicken when I went upstairs today.... I am proud of myself... Little steps big results!

      Bonnie Rose...congrats on the one year..but more importantly on having the right attitude...you are so on the road to success. Way to go for getting right back on plan right away!!!

          Afternoon all!!!! Belated checkin. Doing that a lot lately. Me girls driving me to the poorhouse. I honestly beleive these day trips are costing me a heck of a lot more than a full blown vacation. Between heading down the shorew, county fairs and the amusement parks I am: 1) going BROKE 2) having tons of fun 3) going to remember these days for the rest of me life. SO, I figure it's worth it. So far so good me thinks. I will step on me buddy (scale) next week sometime and find out whether we still freinds or foes. Hopefully we still freinds. (Scale and I) Hope all is going well and NO CHEATING. Summers in full effect but that still doesnt give you the OK to eat what you want, when you want. Stay focused and be true to you.             LOL Bill...I know the exercising thing must have been a shocker..I surprised myself...LOL. Did miss yesterday because of some reflux stuff but back on track today. have.....to....keep.....going....pant....pant....

            Hey Joe...glad you checked in...and glad you are having so much fun with the girls. Take lots of pictures...make sure you are in some of them too! Good staying true!

              and your possitive attitude will not only carry you thru this WOL but your career also! WTG!

              Scarlet--congrads on the excercise ramp up--Notice your not complaining!
              it's not fair!--started my ramp-up recently also--1 hour thread mill, 1 hour bike--1 hour weights--every muscle in my body hates me and is complaining LOUDLY!!


              We tried the Zuchinni chips last night
              (awesome!--with a pinch of salt--tastes like french fries!)

              a note about deep frying--

              when doing veggie's--expecially veggie's with high water content--you need to blanch--set the fryer at a temp lower than max--cook till light brown--pull from oil and set temp higher and wait--then dunk again till golden brown--will be crisp on the outside--creamy on the inside--
              dump on paper towel and salt right away

                Elsie, me finger is sprained from all the pics we taking. I am in a few of them. I dont take many pics, dont like em. Even when I was thinner I hardly sat or posed. If they want to get me it's gotta be an action shot. If and when I get to 299.9, I will post a new and upclose updated photo. I predict after all vacations are done and kids are deep into their schoolyear. Around October perhaps,(crossing fingers). God Bless,Joe

                  Bill...you are doing 3 HOURS of exercise???!!! Every day???!!! Really??? Holy guacamoley Batman!!! LOL...my legs are still rubbery after 5 laps on the stairs....

                  Regarding Zucchini chips...the ones I made were chips not fries. Fries are the next zucchini. Or the fan since Elizellen posted the pics! WOW!

                    Oh and I DONT DO STAIRS!! Ran plenty of stairs when I wrestled and I swore I would never do stairs again once me career was over. God Bless,Joe

                      Joe..I hear you about the pics. I am usually on the other side taking them...and I like it that way. BUT...now that I am scrapbooking all the pics of when the kids were little it is really noticable that even though I was there...there is no proof...and it does help the kids remember all the stuff you did with them when there is the visual reminder for them to look at of you with them...and that is why we take pictures..to remember...so make sure you are in a few for them.

                            Hey guys, I am just checking out..... ugh, I am sorry!! This morning I lost a huge glob of my hair, it has been getting increasingly more this past week. This happened last time I was on South Beach too. Freaked me out.It took me so long to get my hair looking healthy after the anemia, and now this. I mentioned it to BF and he is having the same thing happen this week too. He can't afford to get too thin.

                            Also, in class, my blood pressure was 145/85, it is usually 110/70. It was the same (High) last week when I stopped at the clinic to get a shot too. sooooo, I have concluded that this WOE is definitely not for us. I appreciate that it got us off to a jump start, but at this point we are going to just balance out our meals and eat more of a variety. There must be something really missing from our diet for us to lose so much hair! But we will hopefully get that bp down. (I did see on here where someone was defending the hair loss, but sorry, its just too much at this point!!) Not for us. I wish you all the best of luck, and thanks for having me in your group!!

                              Uh..aye Val, I've been experiencing the hair loss since the day I said, "I Do." So after 10 years of "loss" I still have half a head, so dont sweat it. . God Bless,Joe
