    Re: Buddy List Aug 11-17

Well, at the beginning of the challenge, I fixed myself a goal: to exercise at least 30 minutes every day. 100 abs only take 5 to 10 minutes. So, I did not achieve my goal of exercising for yesterday. That means I had a slug day. A slug day means you can not win anything, no matter how many inches or pounds you loose. Not even a "slug free" button.
But, on the other hand, I could have lied and write on the forum that I did my exercises. After all, nobody have seen what I did for real, yesterday. But I had to choose between a virtual prize (the slug free button) and my, not so virtual, honesty. And I chose. After all, if I lie, I only lie myself. It's like stealing the wallet from my own purse.

Staying true Elsie. Just frustrated with the slow loss, but if it's a consistent 3lbs/week then dang girl I will be h-a-p-p-y! LOL And I can notice a HUGE difference with my arm muscles/toning/etc! (although the scale hasn't budged months, even with 2+ months of personal training and dedication -- my trainer is always so amazed at how dedicated I am, it's flattering!) I just really want the belly weight to go away. :/

I am pumped though because when I go to my University next month the PT sessions for students are only $210 for 10 sessions which is way cheaper than what I've been paying! AND, I might join YMCA... it's based on income and since my taxes last yr. were soo low, I can get a membership each month for 25$ Plus there's about 5 Y's within distance of my home I'll be living in ~AND~ even better there's one close to work that I really wanna go to for the fun classes in the mornings. A co-worker/'friend' goes, too, (although at night) so that would be extra motivation. I don't want to fall off the working out track just because I'm moving for school.

Anyways, workout class tonight too and then packing so if I don't check in again hope you all had a wonderful and successful day!!!
So I won't hesitate no more, no more

Holding, we're all buddies here. We're non-specific about just teaming up. But maybe you can find somebody that "has it your way"

Personally I'm no help. I'm on Day 11 and although I'm doing an extended induction I have about 20lbs to lose til my first goal, but probably aorund 40lbs total... which is an excessive amount *to me* not sure what you deem excessive. lol.

Goodluck in your journey and welcome to the buddy list! AND, most of all, CONGRATS on the amazing amount you've already lost! Mind boggling for someone who is losing it slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwly like myself. :waving middle finger at her metabolic resistance: lol

Good afternoon! Hi all! I am sorry to not have been on in quite a while. I have reasons though! Not excuses...reasons! We are in the process of buying a house and I am sure some of you know all the crap that goes along with that. My son was in the ER a few weeks ago. he had to have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) but he is doing well. DH's shows, weddings, and family party's! I have done well. I am down another 4. Not fantastic but hey its something. I did fall off once but I am doing well again. I am glad to be back here. I feel more secure!

vek, you are not slugged if you exercised. you may have set your personal goal of doing 30 minutes each day BUT as far as the 6 WEC and i are concerned, if you did ANYTHING, it counts. as of this moment and challenge #46, there are time restraints on the exercise. so post your ab work in the daily thread.

now this is how the ribbons and the slug free work. a person can earn one or both of them. basically, you can earn a ribbon even if you were slugged.

Hi Stacy Mike Elsie and Cara,

I got good news!!! I am down by 1lb today. I was very good yesterday. Did one hour bicycle and treadmil then half an hour ab work out. I am happyyyy.

I have reduced my white coffee intake to 1 from 3. It is really hard to see others are having a coffee not me.

Vek...love the analogy! So you don't get a slug free button. It really becomes a challenge with yourself now. Can you stay committed and not give up and complete the rest of the challenge to anyway. You aren't a loser unless you quit! You can do it! Oh..hey..look at that...reading the rest of the posts...you are still in the running. Aren't you glad you did 'only' those 100 abs!!! You go girl!

Britini...you are doing great girl!!! Exciting about the gym.

Holdingon....LOL...while we can't fulfill your order for the buddy you want you are still welcome to participate here anyway!! So welcome...hope you stay!!! Congrats on the weight lost so far! I find with those of us that have lots to lose that it takes a lot before people notice. Sucks because it is so nice to get the validation from others but this list is great for it!!

Andie!!!! You're back! So glad. Happy to hear son is okay and DH is busy and that you have lost 4 more pounds. Good on ya!! Now don't go away again!

Jimmie...thanks for checking in and setting our new bud Vek straight! Appreciate that.

Bill...doing the happy dance for DW!!! Goodbye 200's!!!!!! Yippee Skippee...she deserves it! And thanks!

Sugar...that is great news!!! Isn't this WOL awesome!! Keep up the great work!!

Renie...Good job! I know it is hard to see the others having their coffee...but look what it got ya...another pound gone!! That is great...keep going!

                          Hello My Long Lost Buddies!

I'm sorry that I have not been here the past week, it's been a very busy time with my other half's son arriving last Saturday. He won't be here for long, so we have to spend what time we can with him now.

I took a lil peak back in the pages and I see we have some new buddies! Welcome to all the newbies.

I want to say congrats to all of you that are losing weight/inches or both! Elsie you're doing fabulous even for a young punk who sits at the back of the bus! HAHAHA.. Bill, please give your wife a big hug from me and tell her congrats!! That's awesome.

Moni - please know that I'm thinkin of you darlin.

I hope everyone is having a great week. My weigh-in day wasn't so hot this time.. but I can hear it already.. "As long as the inches are coming off it's all good!" hahaa Well.. the scale didn't like me this morning but it allowed me to stay the same. Gee thanks lol.. and the tape measure.. well it figured I had suffered enough I guess?? So it allowed me to lose another 2.5 inches or was it 2.2? *scratches her head confused* Ohh well either way.. it ends up being a total of over 20 inches lost in 4 weeks. Not to bad I guess and still at my 17lbs lost. Maybe next week the scale will be happy to see me?

I'm so exhausted from the heat.. I'm going to go crash shortly..

Incase I'm not back in time.. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

                              Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!

Great to see how well everyone is doing.

DH finally joined the boards! YAY! I'm going to have him post here.

I took a rest day from exercising. However, I did dance around the house with DH for a few minutes, which was fun.

I have a half-day today at work. I have to take my mom shopping. Then, I'll be off to do my 2.5 mile walk in the park. I like trying out new paths there.
