    absolutely
I've never tried to shread califlower - what's the technique?
I used to grate it with a cheese grater but then I found a gadget called the 'kitchen magician' at a car boot sale which I use every few days to grate cauiliflower and courgettes (zucchini). It is a sort of hand operated mincing machine for veggies and does the job really quickly.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I'm not sure where you got that information about eating all the flax you want during Extended Induction because shortly after Dr. Atkins' death, atkins.com and their publications said you may add 1 ounce of nuts to your Induction plan after the initial 2 weeks. So even by their standards there is a limit to the amount of flax and other seeds/nuts.

a very cold glass of rose - Pinot Grigio Blush...
a bar of Cadbury's Fruit and Nut...

However - losing this weight "tastes" better than those will and I keep telling myself its not forever!!

Get tips on "substitutes" - thanks! Love the cheddar "cracker" recipe!

Chinese Food for me. I have been craving it big time. I want an egg roll dipped in sweet and sour sauce, orange chicken...breading and all and combination fried rice. I use to eat Chinese food about once a week. I also used to be 45lbs heavier...I don't think that is a coincidence.

Re: If I could eat whatever I wanted...

this is a GREAT thread. honestly, i don't like any of the things you listed as "dream foods" but i am just weird that way. i have become so used to not eating carby things that i just really don't think of them...and....i have found that those kinds of foods REALLY hurt my tummy anyway so they are not a temptation.

i DO like the ideas posted here for ways to make some of the things we used to like, now atkins friendly. i am not a cheetohs gal but i did used to love munchy cheese-its. i have learned that the wheat and flour is what probably causes tummy pains for me. now i can have my cheese-its and eat'em too!

look what happens when all these great brains come together....more ideas!

(a prize goes to the member who can make an atkins friendly BANANA SPLIT!)

talk about tummy trouble....sugar AND lactose....AARRGGHHH!!!

Re: If I could eat whatever I wanted...

I'm trying hard to hop back on the wagon, and this post is a good reminder of how, with a little creativity and PLANNING, I can eat wonderful, tasty, satisfying, HEALTHY foods!

I should also mention that I've been eating whatever I want on and off for a year, and nothing tastes nearly as good as it used to. The feeling of being in contol on Atkins beats it everytime, hands down!
