I was thinking and maybe its that I don't care for it because I associate coconut with something sweet... so I am going to play with some splenda, and spices and cocoa, and pumpkin... maybe a bit of cream cheese... I will report later if I come up with anything interesting and pallitable... FINGERS crossed once again.

Whatever works, Kath! I'm interested to see what you come up on the sweet angle ... it does seem to offer some possibilities, at that.

Boonie, I see your experience was more like mine ... I was prepared to dislike it and was pleasantly surprised. But I'm in awe of the folks who can take it "bare nekkid" by the spoonful... even I can't go that far! (Wish I could ... I tried ... once.)

if at first you don't suceed...etc

Guess the stuff is as acquired taste. Keep an open mind, you know...

Hard to believe, when I think about it, that once upon a time, I could not stand olives, avocado, squash, saurkraut, pickles, liver, or balut.

Pardon my ignorance, boonie: What's balut?

        (Speaking of used-to-hates, I one time I couldn't stand coconut! )

You're either egging me on to answer so you can throw some at me, or,
you really want to know... hmmm...
            get egged on..
            tell them and get egged...

The subject here is coconut oil. I'm eating some right now, First bite, tanning lotion; after that, not so bad. Balut on the other hand, is a dish best served to someone who doesn't know what it is first...

Oh my...I remember seeing the contestants eating those on Survivor now that I read the info on the link! Okie dokie!! Thanks for the info but I don't think there is any way I can acquire a taste for those! lol

Now, I did just eat a teaspoon of the coconut oil...don't LIKE it but if it speeds weight loss, I can definitely do it. Not really a taste at all, more of a texture. *shrugs* I can deal.

Thank you for clearing my question up momtomany1...I appreciated it! I wasn't sure if one could start using it in Induction or if one would have to wait.

Ran out and purchased some today...I use to use in about a year ago and stopped....we'll see if it does anything!

Yeah, the texture of coconut oil - on the hoof, as it were - is a bit like, oh ... axle grease, maybe? But, hey, it's for the cause! Still, I'd rather have my morning eggs (fresh! sans embryo!) smelling of Hawaiian Tropic, I think

Ok for those of you that can't stand the taste of Coconut oil they do make the capsule. They are kind of big though. You can find them at the health food store also.
