hi all...great forum!
i am on day 9 of induction with no cheats. i have been in ketosis since about day 3. (i know the symptoms bc i have done atkins before.) i have 35-40lb to lose which i know is relatively little so i prob won't lose a whole lot on induction, but i haven't lost ANYthing. (i have been measuring myself too.) i've done some searching around on the boards and now am wondering if i'm getting to MUCH protein?
typical day:
3-4 eggs scrambled in butter w/2oz cheddar and 1/2 cup red peppers (i took out the cheese but it made no difference)
a few hamburger patties (size of fist but flatter)
for dinner i'll have steak ums (100% pure beef) which according to the servings i'm having is about 64g of protein right there, or some chicken legs baked in butter, or a couple tilapia filets cooked w/olive oil and onions, and also 1/2 cup cucumber slices
i have a couple set snack times with cuc, brocolli or peppers during the day to get all my veggies.
i am very physically active for hrs every day-work on a farm and ride horses-and drink a TON of water as a result, so that's taken care of. day before yesterday i started taking a serving of metamucil. it's the sugar free kind, but it's flavored so has the fake sugar in it. the store didn't have any real AND fake sugar free kind.
so what do you all think? should i just be patient and stay in induction until i start to see results? thanks in advance
ETA: in fitday, it says 3 eggs=4 carbs. is this true? if so do you have to count eggs against your 20 carbs a day? bc for a cup of brocolli, peppers and cucumbers, the total is already almost 20 carbs...
