    I have been reading into this for a couple of days trying to establish at what point your body begins to convert protein to glucose. Is there a max amount of protein that they body can store? Is there a limit to how much protein you can absorb in one sitting?

    I eat just a little less than double my recommended daily intake and I am wondering if this could hinder me. So far I have not experienced a stall from this but I would like to be more informed about the process.

    I understand the implications of too much protein having a strain on the liver and so I ensure I drink alot of water to flush the excess.

    If anybody knows more about this process, I would be interested to learn.

    the amount depends on the individual. There is a limit to anything you can absorb due to the limit on enzymes that your body produces, again, depends on the individual.
    Think of it as the old "can you eat 6 saltines in 60 seconds without a drink". Answer is no, nobody makes enough saliva. There are tons of videos on youtube with people trying.

    You would have to eat a crazy amount of protein to hurt your liver or kidneys (unless you have liver or kidney disease).

    But remember 65% of your calories should be from fat, not protein. Fat has 9 calories a gram, protein 4, so that is not hard to accomplish. (35% protein, 5% carb).

    If you keep your ratios correct it will help. But from what I remember, the avg cutoff for protein should be about 75gram per day for being safe (adjust for male/female, height, frame, etc).

    You just need to see how your body reacts.

      Thank you so much. It is a had concept to think about. I always search for exact figures but you are correct in saying it varies per person.

      ..I guess I will keep going within these percentages and if i reach a stall i will reassess.
